Sandra is one of the best profs at Haskayne. I was lucky enough to take both ENTI 531 and BSEN 533 with her; an absolute treat. Highly recommend!

I did okay in the course. She was enjoyed by some students, though personally I think she was a bit brash and not open to a lot of constructive feedback. There are a lot of assignments on law cases.

Comment:

Sandra's a wonderful professor. Her courses are engaging and interesting and actually have real-world applicability. I greatly enjoyed lectures. Exams are extremely fair, further. Underpinned by all of this is an instructor who is fair in her marking. She doesn't hand out free marks, and what you receive is what you really earn. Great person.

Comment:

Great professor! Shares a lot of insight from business law. Variety of topics are covered in this class. The weekly case studies teach you how to write clear and concisely, which is critical for effective MBA writing in future classes. Can bring a cheat sheet into the final - make sure you use it!

Comment:

Sandra is an awesome professor and person. Very practical and knowledgeable in the subject and hilarious. Not much to say here but I would totally take a class with her again in a heartbeat. Trust me, you won't regret it unless you have no sense of humour

Comment:

Sandra is quirky and tough. Don't screw around or talk for the sake of talking in her class; she values concise and reasoned arguments and if you can't defend your point of view, prepare to be destroyed. Case writing was great and very valuable, the material was interesting and she was engaging. The final was very specific and easy to screw up.

One of the best professors UofC has. She is intelligent, caring, and has a whitty sense of humour. Brings so much experience to the table and I appreciate her lectures that I couldn't bring myself to skip. Case assignments due every class, but very relevant. Exam is difficult, but double sides cheat sheet to reference. Loved this class! Best Prof

Comment:

Sandra is one of the best profs in Haskyane. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table and incorporates that into her lectures. She definitely appreciates thoughtful input for class discussions. It goes along way, as she usually has class participation marks. Good grades are attainable, but to get an "A" or above takes work.

Required lots of reading (textbook chapter, case and legal case each week). Content was relevant to program and interesting. Lots of assignments (7 total), class participation important. Was very knowledgeable. A bit intimidating and definitely had strong opinions on subject matter. Overall a good professor, would take another class with her.

Sandra is a good prof. Extremely knowledgeable and approachable. Look out for that laugh! She loves to lecture about very mundane topics and laugh out loud about a circumstance surrounding said topic and laugh about it for 45 seconds.

I actually learned a lot in this class....way more than in BSEN 291. The make your own business project was actually interesting and totally hands on. And if you played it right, you could make out with a couple hundred bucks per person (like my team did). Excellent class, I do recommend.

Has a very outgoing personality, she acts really goofy in class and seems a bit unprofessional. No need for a final exam in this class. Only got one week to run a business and some projects are far too labour intensive. A lot of material is repeated from BSEN 291.

Useless. Learnt absolutely nothing from Sandra, only reason i did well was because of my previous business knowledge. Unwilling to help with group projects and questions, you would literally learn more by sitting at home and watching shark tank
