Dr. Powell is a wonderful professor. She cares a lot about her students and is very entertaining. Many bus students resent her simply because they don't want to have to take an ethics class. She will help you out anyway she can outside of class. She is tough on grading her papers, but allows you to rewrite them. Overall a great experience.

I can't remember the exact course, but it was intro to business. She is a wonderful lady, and answers all questions. A bit sporadic in lectures, but gives you the information you need, as well as comprehensive study guides. A good professor. A self-proclaimed moderate Democrat with some leftist economic philosophies, conservative students beware.

Dr. Powell's lectures are ill formed and poorly organized. She is sporadic in thought and undisciplined in content. Clearly unfamiliar on the details, She disastrously butchered Adam Smith?s discourse on the division on labor,the pin factory,by telling it as jeans. Avoid at all costs, as her education is antiquated and her mind lack luster.

She has you write 3 papers and perform 4 exams and you will also have to do a class presentation at the end of the course. You could get by this couse without buying the book. She loves wikipedia. Her lectures can be difficult to follow. She talks about a subject and switches to another without finishing the first one. Not a bad class though.

Dr. Powell was a great professor! She provides a study guide at the beginning of each unit, so you know exactly what will be on the test. It is still up to you to fill it in and study, but there is no reason you can't do well. She also has several papers due, but none of them are too hard if you know your grammar.

She's a little weird sometimes, but will work with students like no other professor in the college. I highly recommend her, but will warn you that she isn't the easiest.
