Ledwith is a great professor. His classes are lecture heavy but he does his best to accommodate his students and what they want out of the class. He helps you out on some quizzes and the weekly homework assignments are easy points. His exams are definitely difficult but he curves the grades. I would recommend his classes to anyone.

Jim was great. Accounting is such a boring topic in general so its hard for him to make class fun but he definitely tried his best. He curves all the exams and even gives easy points on some of the quizzes.

only class I have failed in all of my career. I like him, but I hated the class. Avoid if possible. Only reads off powerpoints. A plus did not help either for this one.

he was an okay professor, his tests are really freaking difficult. I went to A+ review and still did terribly. I have an D- right now, but could be a D+ or C after this midterm, don't really like the way he teaches very boring, I heard Jackson was a better teacher but I couldnt take them

Weekly homework assignments are pretty easy to complete but quizzes and exams are very difficult and require a lot of studying. However, he does curve the class a pretty decent amount. The class does not require a lot amount of work or time and I would recommend taking him.

100% Objective review. 2 tests, 1 mid/final, curved. It's a difficult class. Quizzes every other week. No cheat sheet. Must purchase Wiley Plus Access code for the homework. You'll have to study. Reads from the PowerPoint so you just need to go to class for quiz/random calling for attendance. Loves to tell stories. Try and you won't fail. No EC.

Grading is straight forward - 5 homework assignments (turn them in & you get 100%), participation (he takes attendance every class), and 3 exams. Exams are not cumulative, but must know material from previous tests in order to pass. He takes material directly from the book so make sure to read the chapters & do the end of chapter practice quizzes

Really nice professor, does as much as he can to help your grade with EC, but his tests are still difficult. I recommend going to A+. I have an A- right now, but could be a B. Not sure yet, but honestly would take his class.

Ledwith is your typical funny old guy. He is extremely knowledgable and experienced. Make sure you go to class and pay attention. His tests reflect what he teaches in class and he expects that you master each chapter to be successful on the tests/quizzes. Has weekly McGraw Hill Connect homework which isn't too difficult. Gave quiz points and HW EC.

professor Ledwith is straightforward and knowledgeable. He has lots of real world experience in accounting and relates the subject matter well to real world practice. If you have no accounting background you may want to get a heard start but he does go over all of the material in class and through homework. The exams were straightforward.

Prepare to STUDY, a LOT of material! No study guides given, too much info to study. Ledwith's lectures don't prepare you for his exams. READ each chapter and do problems on your own to do well. You essentially have to teach yourself accounting. I resorted to watching YouTube to learn concepts. However, Ledwith's a likeable guy.

A great guy and great professor! Really goes over specific problems and concepts until everyone gets it. Tests were hard but he does a big, fair curve. Loves teaching and cares about people. Very understanding. Class was tough, but he made it as doable as possible.

Tests were semi-hard just pay attention to the examples he does and gives out as homework and in the powerpoints, Powerpoints also contain test questions. He tells you what is on the test a week before you take it. overall, not too bad.

He is the fastest speaker I have ever met at SDSU. Exams are tough. Curve is given. Too many materials are covered in each lecture. An accounting class must be taken by a finance major student.

Brutal Exams. They were multiple choice, and averages were usually between 58-65%. HUGE curve. You'll learn a bit in class, but unless you're an accounting minor or major, you're going to have to put in work for an A. Participate in every class & do the homework which will help boost your grade!
