Time spent in class is super easy and laid-back. It's all participation and discussing the texts we've read. However, she is a tough grader when it comes to papers. There are 2 essays and an in-class written final paper in blue books?? She's not the hardest professor I've had but I don't think I could take another class with her.

I loved having Dr.Runzo as a professor. A very subtle teacher that could teach to wide audiences. She has personal interest in students' development. Always lots of comments on papers, interesting courses and readings, quirky.

Dr. Runzo knows how to design a course around interesting and useful topics. She brings literature and social issues together beautifully and combines challenging non-fiction on cutting-edge with classic literature. Her classes are wonderful.
