Great at applying the concepts in the text to today's Business activities. He does not just make you do the math for each problem, he tells you how that problem may relate to the real world!

Most of these comments are dead on. Except that I witnessed him talking to a classmate sarcastically when she couldn't understand a concept. He mumbles in broken English, stands in front of what he's writing on the board, writes so small you can't see it anyway. I highly recommend you take someone else. No one, that I'm aware of, passed any exams.

No matter if you work on every problem he assigned, his tests are totally different than what you have gone through in the class. Half of the class got below 40% on the test and most student were expected to pass with a C-. If you ask him for help, he will tell you the test is very simple (for him) and he can't do anything because 55 is a C

Took this class Summer 09. He speaks softly, w/ broken english, has sloppy handwriting on the chalkboard. If you want to learn anything...you HAVE to read the book after each class.

Oh my god! THE WORST TEACHER EVER! I don't know how he still teaches. You can't understand him. Tests are open note and we're still hoping to pass even with his curve, 55 to 70 is a C. I've heard all the teachers are the same. So hope your willing to get a C because its pretty impossible to get anything else. HATED IT WITH A PASSION!

HORRIBLE TEACHER, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! He has no idea how to speak English much less teach a class as hard as this one! Asked him for help SEVERAL times, got nothing. Hands out these stupid notes, goes over the problems but doesn't finish working out the problem! Got a D in his class, took the following semester, got an A with different prof!

This class was a joke. Nayak did not teach anything. I really don't understand how he is qualified to be a professor. I am anticipating a getting a B, but this is by far the worst teacher I have ever had. He hands out class notes that are illegible and thinks he is doing you a favor. His tests are not like anything gone over in class. Avoid!

If you can avoid taking his class, then you should. He doesn't care. He comes in "explains" whatever he thinks that he needs to "explain," and leaves. You never know what is going to cover in class, and so you can't be prepared. If you study hard, during summer, you might get a B. I never had a class like this, and a professor who cared less.

Pretty good in this course. I would agree with the last guy about stats 1 in the summer...bad idea. This class is very math based, but all the tests are open note including examples of the same problems on the test.

Took this class last summer. Very bad idea. The first day of class he said that it was too much material and it should not be offered in the summer. He was right. Statistics is a difficult subject and when it is rushed it is impossible. I have him for his grad Opp Management class now and he is much, much better.

I wouldn't reccommend this guy to anyone on this earth! Whether you're interested or not in the subject, you will waste your money. This is one teacher that will make you study night and day and than pray that you get a C- maybe. It really is a waste. REALLY.

This teacher can be very hard to understand and the material is very difficult. This professor is very generous on cutting students a break. for example allowing all notes and sometimes the text on all quizzes/exams and also adjusting his grading scale. I recommend getting the student manual w/ the text book.

Don't believe that last person. Teacher will NOT make sure you pass. "A tutor will not help." His exact words. I contacted him every week, and he didn't care. Now I have to postpone graduation and waste another $780. Take my word for it.

The subject itself is hard. Professor has nothing to do with that. I tool basic statistics at another school with a different professor... believe me, it was hard. Attend classes, study hard, do exercies, and make good notes (in class, as well as from the book) and you will be fine. Professor will make sure that you pass!

Test scores were very skewed towards the failing side, but that was the students' fault. It just "couldn't" have a thing to do with his inability to communicate. Asking him for help was a total waste. Avoid!

I took the class last year, and was lucky enough to pass with a C. His test are nothing I experienced before in my college life. It does not matter how hard you study, you will be lost on the test. And lets not talk about the final. On most of the final, I guessed. I would not recommend this class.

In his defense, although I pulled a 56% on the first test, bombed the second test along with the rest of the class with flying F's (40% avg.), I still passed his class cos I showed a will to understand and badgered him to help me with my homework so I can at least pass with a 55%. Watch how he constantly runs into the podium in class, it's funny!!
