Comment:

Short Case studies for HW Lecture videos are long and dull, I found it difficult to separate the ramble from the key notes because I frequently lost interest after the first 30-40 min. powerpoint. She acknowledges the fact that many struggle on her exams but not sure if she attempted to make them friendlier. I recommend reading the book (optional)

Comment:

There are two group projects which consist of a paper and powerpoint. If you have a good group, this isn't bad and can actually get you extra credit as it did for me. Her tests are all multiple choice and the final is optional (however I found it to be easier than the other tests so it actually improved my grade). Study the terms before each test.

The homework load is fair, but the tests are hard. Be prepared to really apply the things learned in lectures and take good notes in order to do well on the tests. There were two big group projects that were not too difficult either.

Very demanding professor. Took the course online and there are typically hour to two hour lectures to watch every week (sometimes double that). Weekly group projects that are horrible if you have a group who doesn't help you out. But, tests aren't too bad if you've studied a bit.

Vining is awesome. INTLBUS3780 was incredibly easy. There were a couple group projects that I hated not because they were hard but because I hate working in groups. Lectures are pretty straightforward--not too boring. You don't need the book at all. Tests are fair and generally pretty easy. I almost never showed up to class and got a B.

I highly recommend taking Prof. Vining for global business credit. She is very knowledgeable, loves teaching, and uses clever and amusing examples in her online lectures. However, she does assign small group projects and her exams are not open note, but she's helpful and encourages you to attend international events for extra credit.

Took online. Tests are tough. You need to listen to every lecture, collaborate, and review session to know the material. Averaged an 84% on tests and with the other work received an A- in the class. Group projects were difficult if you had a lazy group and unsure if they would do their part. Prof. V made the material interesting to learn.

This professor tests are extremely tough. I had no idea how the class even worked people say show up to class however I found myself the only 1 there the teacher wasn't even there. And yes her tests are based on only on her lectures. Her assignment instructions are confusing. The way UMSL works she is about the only one that teaches this subject.

I took this class online, we had to do alot of busy work. The tests are tough because they are done in the testing center and they are all multiple choice. Other than that I enjoyed this class.

She is simply one of the best professors I have ever had. I took her in the winter intersession. She does not leave out any thing. You will work hard but honestly if you go to class and take really good notes you will get an A on the exams. She tells you what will be on the exam in class and teaches based on it. You won't find that info in the book

Ms. Vining's class was fine but her assignments were confusing! She doesnt explain what she wants and everyone ends up doing it all wrong. . There is no direction. She gives a lot of work that takes up a lot of time. Pay attention in class because a lot of what she says is on her tests. Cant just read the powerpoints and think youre fine.

OMG I LOVE HER very nice and has traveled a lot. She knows her stuff. Study Guide is helpful. Just make sure you pay attention she has good stories. I had her online so you where put into groups just make sure you keep up n contact your group. YOu will enjoy the class

Was originally supposed to be in class but it was changed to online. It SUCKED. She expects you to work literally every day. Tests are VERY hard. Her lectures are via live webcam so I feel like a lot of test material was NOT covered because she just yapped on. Book not required. I would never take this class again online- set up is ugly!

International Marketing was a great class. She is a good teacher who provides you with lots of useful, everyday information that is practical! She is willing to work with you if you have questions and the format to the class is great! Couple tests, debate presentation, and thats about it. Highly recommend her!

This class is different from her international marketing class but its easier and interesting. A lot of work at the beginning of the semester, but you coast at the end. Vinning is one of the best professors at UMSL.

Ms Vining is an excellent teacher, her lectures are packed with information, you need to focus on the lectures because what she talks about is what is on her tests. Focus on the key terms that she gives, that is very helpful. Ask questions also if you don't understand.

Professor Vining is great!! Make sure to listen and understand every class. She provides a key terms list for the tests, and as long as you study the terminology it's pretty straightforward. Overall if you do the case studies, and listen to the lectures, this class is an easy A.
