Comment:

I learned a lot in her class, however, she can be unreasonable at times. I say this because she did my friend dirty. We are not allowed to leave the classroom if we take a test. My friend left to use the bathroom and she took away his test. I felt like that was unfair.

Comment:

Very different class. Very traditional teacher makes you take a TON of notes, tests are INSANELY hard, study guides are basically useless and given a week before the test. She's a great person but a horrible teacher.

One of the worst professors. First off, she obligates the class to purchase an online access code that was $100 so that we could take our practice quizzes on it... Guess what? SHE NEVER POSTED IT. Also, exams are only open from 7-8pm on specific Thursdays, then forgets to post it :) safe to say, she is TERRIBLE. I could go on and on..

She is a horrible teacher who does not care about her students. All tests had a one hour window. They open at 7pm and close at 8pm on Thursdays. An online class is for convenience... safe to say this was not. Major assignments didn't even have point value, but you have to do them. Horrible and highly don't recommend.

Great professor, very educating course. but the material is VERY difficult to learn, all notes are oral, tests are difficult, she gives a study guide a week in advance, great professor personality-wise but the material is very hard to comprehend

this class is disgustingly hard. she lectures you and then quizzes you on information she hasn't talked about. I haven't passed one test so far. do yourself a favor and don't take this class

Shes tough, but shes an amazing professor! Im basically 2 months into my Psych 101 class with Dr. Collins and let me tell you, Ive had some INTERESTING lectures to say the least. Shes a great woman, its just a lot of information to absorb. Great class though!

this teacher has made my life so difficult please dont take her class. she is extremely power hungry and will NEVER make an alternative if you do anything wrong in her class. extremely strict and very rude. she said i wouldnt be able to make it in my future career field. i get everyone feels different but thats my expiernce with her m.

dr. collins is one of the sweetest people i have ever met. genuinely cares for her students. makes a point of learning everyone's names. very strict, attendance is mandatory, and absolutely NO electronics in her classroom. has passion for what she does, and will help as long as you ask. not an easy A, but she makes you think. her class is worth it.

I would not suggest anyone to take Dr. Collins if you want to pass. She is a very tough grader, does not cut you any slack, and gives very little extra credit in class. notes are in class and she writes very minimal on the board, test are hard as well. she hate when Electonics are on, she will kick you out or take away class credits. She's no help.

GREAT PROFESSOR ! Its really up to you as the student to do your part. She DOES NOT ALLOW electronics in her class but she allows extra credit. Study guide and test correlate. Pay attention to the class and study guide and you shall pass. Also take notes, she doesn't take attendance but thats why its important to be in class to not miss notes.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS YOU WILL REGRET IT. Hates electronics so you take notes by hand. She gives extra credit bonus questions but its all or none. So you either get points or you dont. Tests are hard and online lockdown browser. She gives class points but takes away if she sees phones or computers. Also if phones go off you loose class points.

Professor Collins is a very intellectual professor. I agreed with a comment left here that if you want an easy A this isn't the class for you. Read the book! And make sure you don't have a heavy or new schedule when taking Psych, it is a really interesting class but take the time to enjoy it and study.

would not recommend this professor. She hates electronics and makes you take notes by hand. She only teaches one kind of learning style which is auditory and writes very few things on the board. Her tests are just ridiculous. They are online,also gives extra credit but if you don't get spelling right you don't get it right.

Professor Collins is a pretty good professor, she has a lot of personality and she does a lot to make sure you pass, but you also have to do your part. Complete the study guides before tests and youll be fine.

Absolutely loved Dr. Collin! Her class is hard but such a great learning experience! YOU MUST READ THE TEXTBOOK IN ORDER TO DO GOOD ON HER TESTS. She gives everyone a chance for extra credit and is very reasonable and fair. She loves what she does and I would totally take her again. May have been a hard class but totally was worth it!

Dr. Collins is inspirational, fair, hardworking, and an overall amazing person and professor. If you want an easy A, stay away. She makes you WORK. This is college and she treats you like a COLLEGE STUDENT. She taught me so much both in psychology and personally. She gives many opportunities to earn an A, but it must be EARNED.

Dr. Collins is a nice person but as a professor.. she is hard. her test are super hard, she doesn't post anything online. You mainly have to sit there and take notes as she talks. STUDY EVERYTHING for the test, don't wait until last minute because you will fail. I wouldn't recommend taking her if there is another prof. available.
