Comment:

Great teacher! Clear with his grading criteria and isnt a hard grader on papers. There is a lot of reading required but doable. Gives you plenty of time to complete papers, and extended most of ours too. I wanted to take him again for Eng2 in Winter, but had to withdrawal because the class was basically a confusing African American Studies class:(

I took ENG1 with doucet in fall and it was ok. His semester was pretty disorganized (He said he was trying new stuff). Overall it was a good class, he gives a lot of reading journals and essays. I would have had a better time (since he is a nice teacher) but the reading material was quite boring.

I LOVED HIS CLASS. He is so funny and caring. The way he teaches makes you want to participate in class and you actually learn a lot from him. He has such a positive attitude. I would def recommend his class

AMAAAAAZING! i would definitely recommend him! He's so helpful and laid back! All you got to do is enjoy his class, participate, and do the work and you will pass forsure.

Professor Doucet is AMAZING! I am definitely taking his English 1 class next semester. He is very kind, caring, & inspirational. He's definitely an easy teacher, but I feel that most students take advantage of his kindness (they ditch class too often since he lets them turn in their work late for credit). He deserves better respect than that guys!

Kind, caring, and compassionate English professor. One of the best I've ever had. Overall, his class is easy, but does help you greatly as a writer. He gives amazing feedback and help no matter your ability level. Encourages discussion/participation, and everyone's opinion is respected. Fun class, good reading material, and a great environment.

Professor Doucet is a nice person, just make certain that you read those short novels carefully and you'll be fine with his quizzes. Not hard for international students. I got high scores for all of my papers. Really grateful!

Only the best. Prof. Doucet is kind, extremely intelligible, eloquent, relatable, caring, funny, inspiring, and all-around amazing. If you want a unique & worthwhile English course, take him. He'll engage you in reading and writing that'll make you both think and feel and you may just create some of the best work you ever have! You won't regret it.

Although the course is pretty basic, Doucet really engages students in his class. His lectures are so fascinating and provide lots of historical context. The assigned readings are great. He is a chill guy and makes sure that everyone in the class will pass. Doucet loves switching things up with group projects and quizzes, but everything is easy.

You are really missing out if you don't take his class. He is so understanding, sweet, smart, and genuine. He is a good person at heart. I don't have anything bad to say. Show up, do the work, get an A. I love him soo much. If given the chance I would take him over and over again.

Doucet allows the students to question the society they are brought up in. He assigns reading, and yes, some of it is long and tiresome, but all of it is interesting. He grades fairly, encourages all beliefs, and loves to teach. He is an intellectual and an excellent Proffesor. I would take him again and recommend him to anyone.

Professor Doucet is AMAZING! I have always enjoyed English courses but he made me fall in love with it even more. I think my favorite thing about his class was the opportunity to write essays on subjects that really interested me! There is no textbook, he provides most of the readings and theres 1 or 2 books you have to read. TAKE HIM :)
