She is so funny. Seriously. Every lecture and recitation is full of laughter. Small daily quizzes during lectures, so make sure to do some quick reading before class, though you can correct your quizzes. Recitations are difficult if you don't do the reading. But the reading isn't even a lot. If you do your part, this class is easy and fun to boot.

Absolutely wonderful. She's really sweet and made the class/subject much easier and so much more interesting. The class and recitations were always filled with TONS of laughs and people having a great time while learning A LOT. Just remember: Your mistakes are your classmates... benefit! Oh, and make sure you study. The language can be difficult!

Nakajima sensei is an amazing professor. Her class was always fun. What is normally a very difficult language, is fairly simple thanks to her teaching style. Sometimes she doesn't really understand what you are asking but overall I loved this class and encourage anyone thinking about taking Japanese to do so.

AWESOME teacher! She has a great sense of humor, and is a lot of fun. She loves to laugh when we mix up words and say something goofy, but in a good way. Very supportive, doesn't cut any slack with speed/manners/pronunciation which is good, those things are important. You can go to her office hours and get help and she is happy to help

Nakajimasensei is nothing short of amazing. She takes an overwhelming language and explains it to non-native speakers in an easy and exacting way. She is tough, challenging and one of the absolute best teachers I have ever had the pleasure to know. She is also nice, funny and very sweet.

Had to drop the class halfway through because I didn't have the time (language is very time consuming) but Nakajima sensei was great. Very interested in whether or not your learning, very funny. She makes the classes interesting and fun. Her class was a little hard but it was fair.

Nakajima sensei, the first teacher I met at OSU. I found the class to be very difficult for me, but it could have been so much worse had it not been for her. She was very helpful and I got along with her really well. So well, that after I stopped taking her class, I would still stop and talk to her anytime I saw her on campus. One more thing I wanted to say, is the graduate TA's she hired were incredibly bright and good people in their own right.

This woman got me through three years of hell!! She is a very nice teacher, and expects you to still be able to talk to her if you see her a year later. The already frail Japanese department is going to take a major blow when this sensei retires

Very kind and funny sensei. Likes to crack jokes and bench people, but very entertaining. I took this series during the summer and I have to say I liked it a lot. Quite a bit of material each day but I think its a good way to learn a new languange.
