Comment:

She is an amazing person and some of her lectures are clear while others are confusing. You can learn a lot by paying attention in class. If you are confused, you can call her anytime (even 9 pm before the day of the test). She will help you succeed; chem jams are a must.

Comment:

Chemistry is usually challenging, but Solsky makes it easy. Classes are based mainly on the tests, but she makes sure to let us know exactly what will be on the test before we take it. The class consists of 8 online/at home quizzes, 2 tests, a midterm, and a final. She also holds Chem Jams on the weekend before a test to make sure everyone is ready

I LOVED Dr. Solsky! She is such an amazing professor. She is very engaging, funny, and easy to understand. Her tests are a little hard, but that's just something you'll learn how to deal with. She holds review sessions called "Chem Jams" and they're SUPER HELPFUL. She was definitely my favorite professor this semester!

Her tests are extremely long so take your time. She is so passionate about her students and wants them to do good. She will do anything to help you. She gives lots of worksheets and make sure to do them because the only way to learn it is by practicing it. She does offer a few things of extra credit so do those. There are also frequent quizzes.

She gives you a workbook and a practice test which is helpful. She will screw you on tests. . . pulling out concepts that weren't emphasized at all! But she has tons of office hours and if you put the time in you can get an A.

Solosky is one of the better nursing chem professors. She relies a lot on the guided notes workbook she gives out. Class is just her filling in the blanks for you. Her tests are very long but if you study for them there is no reason you would do poorly. Not many tests and no quizzes. Good professor.

Professor Solsky is fantastic! She cares about you as you a student and wants you to succeed. You cant skip class, she gives answers for the test. Her tests are way harder than practice exams or reviews she gives you. If you study and know the information you be fine! I passed easily with an A because I put in the time and prepared for the exams.

Dr. Solsky is AMAZING. She is the sweetest lady and one of my favorite professors at Creighton. She is so caring and genuinely wants you to pass - she is flexible with her office hours and will answer all of your questions. Her class is hard but if you show up and go to office hours, you will pass. Love her!

Dr. Solsky is an amazing person! She cares so much about her students and it shows by her being in her office hours a lot and even her giving extra credit and make up tests. Being is class is crucial to success. There is not too much homework and she will answer the questions in office hours. Also, textbook is optional.

Her content is scattered over a few different sources which makes it hard to go back and refer to the original material. She will go the extra mile to help you and if she couldnt make it in to see you shes great about taking calls/texting. Her test have traps so make sure you know the exceptions to the rules, not just the main points. Very Do-able

I like her as a person, but as a teacher, I find Solsky is a bit scattered. She wrote a workbook for her class, and that is very heavily used, but it was so unorganized that it was overwhelming at times. Also, she likes to be very tricky on her tests and throw in problems that have never been shown in class. She's a nice lady but not a good teacher

Took her as a nursing student for chemistry, amazing. She was able to teach the material in a way that was so easy to understand. Cares a lot about her students, does "chem jams" the Sundays before our tests to review the material with us. Definitely would recommend. We had 2 exams, a midterm, and a final along with a few homework assignments

Take her!! She makes class enjoyable but is very informative. She is very accommodating and always will adjust her office hours to make sure everyone can come in as often as they need. If you get left behind its because you're not putting in the effort, she wants you to succeed and does more than required to do so

Dr. Solsky is the greatest. She is always there for her students as long as you put in the effort to go to office hours. If you don't understand something she will go over it until you understand. She also allows for retakes and A TON of extra credit. Definitely would take her again.

She is clear, always available for extra help, wants to help you pass, tests aren't hard if you put in the work and don't skip class. Not too much homework but enough to cushion your grade. Gives a very helpful workbook with practice test problems.

Professor Solsky's class overall is a very slow-paced chemistry class that is not too particularly difficult to get a good grade in. She isn't very boring at times, but sometimes the 1 1/2 hour period can get to you.

I really liked Professor Solsky. She was a little intimidating at first and she really does expect a lot of her students. The tests are somewhat difficult but you get better at them and the makeups are very helpful too. Overall great class if you study and put in the necessary effort.

Solsky is pretty knowledgeable in the subject. She gives make up tests, and has chem jams to help study. Her tests are long but if you know the info your fine. Was not a fan of her, but if you need extra help in chem take her.
