Comment:

I took this class online and had no interest in calculus. However, Ms. Spencer's class wasn't that difficult. You have to read the book with examples and DO THE HOMEWORK! In the online portion, you can do the homework till you get a 100 and take the quizzes twice! Just learn from your mistakes, do all homework and you'll be fine.

Mrs. Spencer was awesome. I hate math, but she helped me through everything. Anything required for her would be: take good notes, show up for class, don't be rude (She's old fashioned.), and DON'T look at your phone during class. She used MyMathLab A LOT! Just be a good student and you'll be fine. If you walk in and disrespect her, I pity you.

Pretty good teacher. I like how she is organized. I wasn't too excited about the mandatory eLearning homework assignments, but they ended up helping a great deal in my understanding of the topics.

I have taken all the math courses through calculus 2, a different teacher every semester, and Mrs Spencer was my favorite one. She is very helpful if you have any questions. She was always well prepared. Every class session she gives out alot of information so take good notes. The tests were taken from the chapter reviews. Highly recommended.

This was probably the worst math professor ever. She is very impatient and doesn't like to answer questions even though she asks if there are any questions. She compared our class to elementary school students as far as knowledge went and she continuously made people feel stupid. Made an A but only because I like math to start with.

She is the most awful teacher I have ever encountered. She does not like to answer questions, It doesn't matter if you go to the math lab, she is a presenter not a teacher. She only cooperates with the ones that luckily understand her military style of teaching.. She was absolutely, impatient and awful.

Took her for a whole semester. If you're not very good at math, I highly DON'T recommend her. I found her explanations confusing. And she doesn't take questions lightly. Test wise, she gives you a study guide that follows the order the questions will be asked on the test.

She teaches pretty quick and doesn't have time for you to stop and ask questions. Pretty much gets frustrated and makes you feel stupid if you do ask anything she's already gone over. Tests aren't too hard if you paid attention in class. Be prepared to spend half you life this semester in math lab.

Mrs. Spencer rocks! I truly dislike math, but is required. Attendance is NOT mandatory, but necessary. This lady blew her schedule out of the water, just to be sure the entire class understood chapters 1 & 2. She will work out any problem that you ask. She even has plastic gears to help illustrate the prtoblems. She answered EVERY question prompty.

Mrs. Spencer seems to always be pissed off in class. She is not very helpful and makes you feel like you are stupid for not knowing something, I basically had to teach myself using the MyMathLab program that our homework was on. Unless you make an A on every test, she hates you. Avoid her is my advice.

First off, I'm going to say that I have made A's and high B's in all of my math classes. This teacher is just horrible! She literally took 2 months to get one of our tests back and I didn't know I did poorly on it so now it's past the withdrawal date and I'm stuck most likely failing this class. I did good on the first two tests and I really tried.

I would not say she is the worst teacher ever, she explains things well in class but when I looked back at my notes I would find myself going, huh? DO NOT ASK QUESTIONS! She reminds me of somebody in the military, gets angry easily and will let you know when you are not meeting her standards. Take someone else if you have a hard time in math.

Does not welcome questions. Make sure u know everything b4 taking her class. She is an expert in her field, but is not a good teacher. You must eat sleep and breath calculus. worst math teacher at pjc..all she does in the class is yelling and she would expect you to know everything and her exams are really hard and she wont even give partial credits..i would recommend to take Mr. Bloxom's math class then to take her.

The good thing about her class is that most of her tests are take home. Just go to the math lab and you'll get A's. She's a nice lady but she can be intimidating at times.The class is a lot of hard work but if you take good notes you'll get through it. NOT A CLASS U CAN SLEEP THROUGH.
