I will admit, Donnelly is a very tough grader! And sometimes she can be a bit confusing. But she very much cares about her class and her students. Participation and attendance is a HUGE factor in her class. Be there and be ready for discussion. I promise, she doesn't WANT to fail you. She really does care.

I'm now a senior in college majoring in English and I can honestly say Professor Donnelly is the reason. While at OCCC, I was convinced she was the toughest grader there was. Looking back, her grading style helped me immensely. She is tough BUT she will make you an excellent writer (which is important for any major!) I strongly suggest her courses.

Shes very nice and funny teacher but she doesnt give clear notes and is very strict grading. Shes not the worst teacher i ever had but if you get her pay attention and just do the work no matter how stupid it is and you will pass.

Very harsh grader. Wasn't very clear. Will help you if you ask. ppl both young and old and who were honors students in H.S had a difficult time. Everyone in class got C's and D's. Dropped that class.

Professor Donnelly is wonderful. Yes, the work is challenging, but it should be challenging. This woman has a genuine love for literature, and she'll help you with anything if you just ASK! The stories we read for assignments are interesting. She grades fairly -- you'll only do very badly if you don't try. Fantastic professor!

She is a tough teacher. She grades very harshly and can be very rude to students. I have seen her ream out many students. Make sure you get your textbooks for her class ASAP. She uses the text heavily and quizes frequently ont he material in the text. Be on your toes if you plan ont aking her classes!

Professor Donnelly (in class) is hard to follow. IF YOU VISIT HER OUTSIDE OF CLASS SHE IS REMARKABLE! She will help you with anything you could possibly ask.
