Connie is extremely passionate about what she does. She is very knowledgeable about art education, and is supportive and interested in the quality of learning that occurs within her class. The workload in these courses is heavy, but she grades fair and gives a lot of constructive feedback (both good and bad). Loved her classes.

Overall, I like Connie. But there are a few things about her that a helpful to know. She is very off and on. One minute she is telling you one thing and then changes her mind, and tells you another. Other people in my class have noticed this as well. She comes across mean in e-mails and this can make her seem really scary, so in person is better.

Comment:

Professor Albertson was a real pleasure to study with and helped me to understand children and how best to bring my art skills in to the schools where I plan to teach. I recommend her as one of the best profs I've had.

I signed up for Art Ed unsure that I wanted to be a teacher. After taking this class, I now know I truly do. Her activities were super fun, and I learned a great deal. Be prepared to work hard, but none of it seems pointless. My whole class loved her, especially when she handed out chocolates.

Comment:

I'm very sorry that my 3 years of education led up to her class -- there was no pleasing this woman, no matter how hard I tried. She picked favorites, was unreasonable, wouldn't let student atheletes miss her class for any reason, and was the most irrational and unhelpful professor I've ever had. I hope my future isn't jeopardized because of her.
