I love Professor McNally, she is a just the facts sort of professor, and her class moves quickly. It isn't easy, but it is both informative, and pretty much authoritative. Her use of technology is so so, but she tries. Not for students looking for a blow off. Go with Nicholson if thats what you want. (He's fun too)

This class was a disaster. Grades are completely arbitrary and when you ask for clarification she dismisses your questions. Half the course was "student presentations" which were a joke, but which she included on the final test. It was the worst educational experience of my life and regret that I didn't drop the class when I had the chance.

This teacher was very unorganized. She used the WebCt to run her class room and the website was so unorganized that it was difficult to figure out what she expected. Her grading is so inconsistant it is laughable. The TA in this class was excellent and was the only reason that anything was comprehensible.

I highly recomend everyone stay away from this professor. I was interested in taking this class but she totaly ruined it for me. Her testes are graded completely unfairly. She also gives no guidance in projects or assignments.

Reeeeaaaallly stay away. Your competence as a student has nothing to do with your performance in her courses. Taking her class will assuredly bomb your GPA, because she's not a capable teacher. I regret her class.

Her class is a bit of a mess. Her powerpoints, emails, and feedback consistantly have typos. Half of the class is done through WebCT, but the site is set up in a way that makes it difficult to find things. She also *only* uses WebCT email, which is incredibly inconvenient.

Her teaching assistants made the class not fun. The grading is arbitrary. Avoid.

Comment:
She's vague about due dates and assignments and muddles the information on the web. She gives online tests and quizzes but the time allotted is always very short; grading is inconsistent and usually poor, but she won't argue or she'll dismiss your objections. 'No right answer' kinda gal? Gives teaching assistants too much responsibility.

I feel that if you are going to teach an art history course, you should really know how to pronounce words such as "Constantine" and "chi". This seems important. The grading of the essays and essay tests seemed very arbitrary, like they pulled a number out of a hat and that's what you got.

McNally tried to run 80% of her class through WebCT but had NO idea what she was doing with it, nor did she allow her own delays to affect the due dates of assignments even though it meant that we had less time to complete what she wanted of us.

McNally is a very nice woman, however, her misguided efforts on WebCT make all of her classes rather unenjoyable. She's never on time to class. Her Powerpoints and emails are full of typos. She's very hard to get ahold of to talk to in person. If you do manage to hunt her down, though, she's very accommodating and will help if she can.

always late. taught a webpage design class with no clue what she was doing. jumped around a lot, asked open ended questions (then fought about the answer), and was severely unclear about what was expected. I would NEVER take another class with this woman.

Incredibly knowledgable! Remembered every detail about the literature we studied (although a little forgetful of non-academic stuff). Very interesting. Truly enjoyed her class. ZR
