One of the best professors I have ever had. All essays are your opinion, & he even gives you an outline on how to set up your paper. He is very realistic about life and inspires you to be your own person. My class also got out 25 minutes early every time we met, and he cancels a lot of classes. Grading is easy, just do the assignments & you'll pass

Easy class and fun professor. 3 essays based on your own opinions, he gives his but encourages you to challenge him if that's what you believe. Available during office hours. Portfolio with 10 assignments due at the end of semester and a final. Very easy class, highly recommend for an easy English class.

There are only three essays in this class. They are all based on your own opinions of the movies watched in class. If you go to his office hours before the essay is due, he will give you feedback. There is a final on chapter 13 in the textbook. You just have to memorize logical fallacies and examples. The final can be finished in 30 minutes.

Professor Cook may be very opinionated, but overall he is a very easy teacher. Class consists of 3 essays which are very clear and all based on movies. Aside from that you have a portfolio assignment which is easy as well. He takes attendance. Give a lot of detail in your essays and you're guaranteed a good grade!

Absolutely awful, opinionated teacher who is so assured of his own views that he completely refuses to hear anyone else's. Class was a waste; basically just him going on about how he's so much smarter than everyone and how why his ideas are the best. Easy class, if you can handle wasting hours of your life. Makes disrespectful claims against LGBT.

Cook's class was something different. He let us out 40 mins early the majority of the time and usually ranted his thoughts on current event. There are 3 essays which are fairly easy, a portfolio that are just notes taken at the beginning of the semester, and a final that's based on vocab words. If you're a good essay writer this is an easy A.

Professor Cook is awesome! His class was really interesting and he really makes you think about issues in the real world. Not too many essays, and each essay is turned in with a portfolio at the end of the semester. Show up, pay attention, do the work, and you will pass.

He gives great feedback and only wants you to be the best writer you can be. I would take another class with him in a heartbeat!

Professor Cook is incredibly funny and intelligent. The class is super easy if you TRY! Just write the 5000 words, come to him to revise, and you'll be goo.d We had no due dates and negotiated our grade. Easiest class of the semester!

An easy A if you are already a semi decent writer. If not, you can still get an easy A as long as your not lazy, and will actually ask for help or clarification from Mr. Cook if you need it. loved his class because it was loosely structured, and we weren't forced to listen to endless lectures on perfect grammar/writing skills.

This is an amazing professor! I never expected to enjoy an English class as much as I enjoyed his! His Eng1A class is super laid back and easy. He assigns four 6 pg. papers and there are a few quizzes here and there. He's REALLY funny and super nice to everyone. You can miss class about 3 times without any consequence. I definitely recommend him!!!

Always relate topic to stories of relevance. Super easy class. Although essay grading does hold a tad bit with more standards. Quizzes are easy if taken 20 mins to go over important chapters. Highly suggested if want a laid back professor. Total of 4 6-paged essays per semester.

His class is fun and interesting, he makes you think. You'll have a few quiz's out the reading, which is extremely easy if you take the 30 min to ready the chapters. The 4 essays you write have to touch the 5th page and he's very helpful, would for sure take his class again.

AMAZING PROFESSOR, honestly probable the best professor I've ever had, really makes you think and analyze life differently, his entire class is based off the mentality of "The Western" The "American", you watch movies, analyze and then write about them, tough, and a fair yet tough grader, but if you did the work ahead of time and well, you'll pass!

ENGL 1A. one of the best teachers I have ever had! He makes class fun! Text book & attendance are required. He assigns reading every class. however, class pretty much consists of going over the reading. I never read, but attended every class & was never lost. 4 (easy)short quizzes. He tells you exactly what will be on them. 4 easy essays. NO FINAL.
