This guy is so knowledgable and the books he assigns are eye-opening! Read the material, show up for the lectures and be sure to look up the topics he writes on the board--they'll be extra credit on the exam which can be really helpful. If you show up with half a brain, you'll learn something from this prof.

Good teacher, but he hates teaching right now because punks use their txt msging and read the paper during his class. He'll talk with you about any issue and give you honest opinions. I'm actually gonna miss him, even though I thought I'd hate this class because Govt isn't my best subject.

This class can be the worst, but his teaching style is effective. There is a lot of reading (6 books plus the text) but they're not that bad. You only have to read 4 (+ the text for midterms) books for quizzes. And most are short. Problem--> He takes role! So don't ditch. He took a lot out of my grade just cuz I didn't go to class much.

There were 6 books assigned and quizzed on for this class. Dont be scared if you dont like reading. Get a review of those books and you are sure to get at least a B on the quizzes and only your top 4 scores count. Know your current events. They are 10-15% of exams. Essay portion of exams are 50% but are graded easily. Just write semi-intelligently.

His lectures are very unstructured and unclear. Tests are very hard because they contain material that was neither discussed in lecture or reading. Alot of reading to do. I went to class every day and still struggled on tests. Know your current events.

Nice guy, fairly easy class. You must know current events. Attend class because even though he doesn't take attendance, he notices who's there and who isn't and it does affect your final grade. Plus if you go to class you know what the bonus questions are and that can dramatically raise your test grades. Good class for upper division GE.

He gives both extra credit and adds points to the test scores, so it's not that hard. KNOW YOUR CURRENT EVENTS because they will make up more of the tests than you would expect.
