Participation is important! ALWAYS ALWAYS show up to class. Do constant revision to your essays. He has a grading convenant that guarantees a B if you follow all the guidelines but if you want an A, you have to go above and beyond for it.

He gives good feedback on your papers, class is really boring but he isn't a tough grader. He is very passionate about his political views, he is liberal, but isn't biased when grading papers that conflict with his views. It just made his class very unprofessional because it seems that's all he wanted to talk about and took a lot of petty jabs

Professor Fox is really helpful in class and focuses his teaching on peer review and revision of papers. I thought this was awesome because it allowed us to improve on our papers rather than forget about them. He also has separate deadlines for zero draft, rough draft, etc. which helped students start on their papers early instead of cramming.

Prof. Fox is one of the best instructors I've had. He continually encourages all of his students to do what comes most natural to them when writing. He has no strict guidelines for assignments so it is largely up to your discretion and he loves seeing creativity in writing. Prepare to read lots of scholarly text and lectures can drag on sometimes.

Dr.Fox is the best instructor I've ever had. I wouldnt call this an easy A like some people have. He has expectations; he is just an extremely nice guy who will do whatever he can to help. You can tell he is passionate about what he does and that he truly cares about his students. Consider yourself lucky if you can take a class taught by Steve Fox.

Steve is an easy-going guy, and if you're looking for an easy A, this is where you'll find it. Students controlled this conversation-based class, and because Steve didn't focus on grades, conversation was much more free-flowing than I've seen in other courses. This isn't a particularly interesting class, but take him if you have to take it! :)
