I hated english but he made it interesting. I think this is the first english class that I have actually learned something in. He grades a little tough but grades on how much work you put into your papers. As long as you try he will notice.

Loves to get off topic, and has a dry sense of humor. But his class is super easy. A paper due every two weeks and a quiz here and there. A lot of people dropped his class, I don't know why because it was honestly the most easiest class I've ever taken. Just show up and try not to fall asleep. You'll do fine!

Seems to get off track a lot and he has a different sense of humor. Just do his assignments and go to class and you'll do fine. The amount of revisions you'll do is crazy, but he wants you to improve. I can easily say my writing improved from his class.

Great professor. Extremely intelligent and has a dry(but witty) sense of humor. Always made me laugh. Not an easy grader but youre in college..not HS. Received A's on all of my papers and made me more self confident in my writing. Will praise hardworking students but cant stand students who can't write. Loved him!

He does not emphasize on how he wants assignments done. He is very unreasonable with grading essays. He gave me all low grades on my essays, with no legit reason why. He has no sense of humor, his lectures are not relevant to the class. I never had a problem with an enlish class until his. I withdrawled from his class. Don't take his class!!

Dry sense of humour. Very boring. Was not clear on assignments. After we wrote an essay (and didn't explain it to us) he found it in the textbook and said "Even though you already wrote it, lets go over it now" I had to drop it. Don't take this class!

I loved Prof Stern, at first I wasn't sure about him as he is a bit dry and grumpy, but he grew on me. He is brilliant and he will most certainly critique your work and help your writing skills. If you are looking for an easy A this is not the class, however if you are looking to learn something and improve, this would be the place. Good Luck

I love Professor Stern and would recommend him to anyone. If you are looking for an easy A where you don't have to do work, don't take his class. But if you are interested in taking a College English course on a College level take him, he will definitely prepare you for a 4 year college

Great professor. If you don't know how to write, he doesn't waste his time with you. He's very laid back and tends to do a lot of lecturing, but as long as you write your papers with some thought and show up to class, it's very easy to get an A in this class. He is quite opinionated and kind of a grump but i liked him.

The way he teach is horrible just like everyone said. I remember asking him for help and all he said was go to tutoring center. Plus in class his assignment are not clear. It just seems he just doesn't want to help. In the end, asking for help from him will get you no where. Don't take him.

drop this class asap!! i had to retake comp 2 because he gave me and 8 ppl in my class D's. I should hace gotten a C+ but because i missed 4 days not 2 days he took points off my final grade. Im stuck retaken it to graduate when I should have last semester!!

I had him a few years ago and really liked him. He can be a little condescending but besides that he made me enjoy the class by letting me write about topics that interested me. He also was helpful in letting me see my potential.
