This course is extremely challenging in the beginning. You have 5 quizzes, 5 exams, and 2 lab practicals. However, as you get used to the way he grades it gets easier. I started with a D on the first test but ended the course off with an A! It is A LOT of studying but it is possible! He's very funny and his lectures are info heavy (PAY ATTENTION)

This is bio so of course, the workload is heavy. He's a great guy though, he's funny and is very passionate about what he teaches. There are 5 exams, 5 quizzes plus an extra credit quiz, two lab practicals, and labs to do. He gives you powerpoints that he teaches off of. Overall, he's a great professor and if you study you'll do good.

The courseload is far from easy and it takes a lot dedication and proper studying to understand the content to its full extent. Myers does a good job of relaying the huge amount of information, but it takes a while for many people to get used to his teaching style. I STRONGLY recommend studying vocabulary, structures, scientific names 4 each chaptr

If you have NOTHING else going on in your life then this is the class for you, 4 chapters for exam1 and you only get a week to study, lab practical is hard and requires literally all of your time to study, quit your job and drop all your other classes bc he thinks he's the only class you are taking

Great guy, just a lot of material to grasp. I would recommend taking him any term but summer. He tries to cram everything even though he knows how much of a struggle it can be. Go to lectures and write down what he says, most things on the exams/quizzes are said and not written in notes. Study for exams and labs ahead of time, they can overwhelm.

This is a course you will have to work hours studying/preparing lab reports to earn an A. This is not an intro class. This is advanced University-level class that youll need the time & study skills to succeed in. The Prof. & lectures are super interesting & funny but be forewarned this is straight up University-level Biology class.

He is a good teacher and passionate about it. He has 5 quizzes, 5 tests, 2 lab practicals, and labs. Study everything he tells you and take pictures of labs. I recommend recording. Genus and species you must memorize including their laymen names. He is funny and will answer any questions you might have. Study and do your part and you should be fine

Professor Myers is a great person and really knows his stuff. Sadly, he does not have the best way of teaching it. Lecture notes are unorganized and he has a tendency to skip around. Tests are SUPER difficult and even when you study for hours a day you still won't know all of the answers. Trick questions. Hardest class I've taken yet!

Myers is a good person and he is very passionate about biology. This class is hard, it is 4 credit course. There will be 5 exams, 5 quizzes, pre and post lab, and 2 lab practical exams. You will have to spend all your time studying for this class. Quizzes are not so hard if you memorize the notes, his exams were hard for me, 50 questions.

I could not be more grateful for having taken this class. Myers is truly passionate about Biology, and that will always set amazing professors from the rest. I learned so much from him; he makes the material engaging. No surprises from this course or its layout, study everything daily, be engaged, make connections with the Latin naming.

He's very knowledgeable and evidently cares a lot about what he's teaching. Decent amount of studying, but straightforward tests and assignments. You don't have to answer the labs 100% correct, he grades them more on completion/attempt shown. Study for the tests and do your homework and you'll be fine.

Bio II is not an easy course!! A full class load or work schedule can complicate things but it's not impossible to get a good grade. You HAVE to dedicate time for studying. Make friends in class and form study groups. No hw, quizzes, labs, lecture tests & lab practicals. I would definitely recommend him if you want to learn.

Myers is a great professor and makes the subject enjoyable with his witty jokes. He is passionate about the subject and does a good job presenting material. That being said BIO 2 is not an easy class! you really do have to study hard and earn your grade. his exams are hard! no homework is given other than lab work if you don't finish it in Lab.

He may have done well with his fall/spring semester. But openly admitted that he hasn't done a summer semester in a long time. And his tests shows this. It appears that he was not used to the pace of the summer and lectures winded up boiling down to him reading from the power point and saying to underline everything. Tests were probably from fall.

Bio II is a tough course due to the material. Professor Myers' class is based on pure memorization and understanding of concepts. However, Professor Myers provides you with pre-written notes and goes into detail with the material to make sure that you understand what you're being taught.

I highly recommend him for science majors. I took Bio II with him and wish I'd taken Bio I with him. He keeps up to date with material and most importantly he obviously loves biology. He is generally a very clear lecturer and clarifies readily when asked. Tests and lab practicals are most of your grade. Prepare for nerdy puns.

I took Prof. Myers for Bio 2 and his knowledge is admirable and encouraging. Text book is not a requirement. He provides students with notes in blackboard and I suggest printing them out to add in more side notes through out lecture. If you love biology, you will love this class. Note cards saved me, the labs are awesome. STUDY STUDY STUDY. :)
