If you take his hybrid class, be prepared to read. If you know how to skim and you follow his study guides, you should be fine. Your only grades are from quizzes and tests. His tests can be tricky, but he curves them for your benefit. Take notes from his lectures and READ through the textbook and watch the videos he tells you to watch.

This class had limited points (590) so basically, don't make a mistake. Also, if you take the course as a hybrid, you'll have to read a lot because he includes a lot of material that isn't covered in the lecture on quizzes and tests. Make sure you have surgeries/doc appts taken care of before this class because they won't be excused.

Class is fairly hard for a business class. He curves all tests but they are very hard. Listen to everything he says in class. Only HW is 5 case briefs that take 10 minutes each. Learned a lot, but wish tests weren't so specific.

Popejoy is the best teacher in the Harmon College. He makes law fun and has a great sense of humor. I am now thinking of going to law school. Plus, he is into weight lifting.

His tests were super hard. 25 True and False, 25 multiple choice. I would suggest the other teacher you can use your notes. He is not very good and explaining and it is just straight lecture, he hardly writes anything down and when he does you cannot read his handwriting.

It's impossible to take notes during class, he skips around a lot and you won't know what he is talking about. The book was a life saver! I got a D the first test just by studying off notes and got an A on the second test studying out of the book. He gives you a study guide for the 4 tests you have in the class.

Popejoy is about as good of a teacher as you can realistically expect to have for business law. He tries to make the class interesting by incorporating videos, occasionally tells jokes, and truly knows the subject of law quite well. Take him rather than the other business law professor at UCM. He's a deferential, cheerful professor.

Worst professor ever. I tried to talk with him and ask questions, but he never wanted to talk. His GA does everything for him except teach the class. Will never work with you to help you out with your grade. Don't take this class with this Professor. Take it with the other Professor.

He knows his stuff but will bore you with stories. I took the night class and it was the most boring thing of my life. 25 T/F 25 MC tests. 4 including final. I've heard he is much better than the other BLAW teacher so take him. You will easily pass if you go to class and take notes.

This class was kind of dry, it was a big classroom and kind of dry material. Popejoy is a good guy and likes what he teaches. He makes the material interesting in his own way. I would definatly recommend him. Keep up with the work and study a little. His first test is designed for students to fail it but he curves it. Class average on it was a 40

Popejoy was a great teacher! He was very interested in what he taught and as long as studied you were fine, he normally curves. Make sure you look over the cases before class though, he does ask questions over them.

If you are not a law student. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS! his class is graded on 4 tests, and 4 tests alone so if you fail a test... you're screwed.
