Comment:

She knows her material is hard, and she doesn't try to make it so easy that everyone passes. Her goal is that you actually learn the material and if you get through her class, you will. I've had her for two classes and she really cares about her students but she's no push over and you earn your grade whatever it may be. She's one of my favorites.

She seems like a nice lady, however the homework tempo is extremely rough. It does not help that MathXL due dates don't match up to Blackboard, and often they are not in any sort of order!

Sheila is amazing! I never wanted to miss a class bc i enjoyed her lectures so much! She is a tough grader though, but if you go to class, take good notes, and ask questions, theres no reason you shouldn't pass with at least a B! She doesn't try to trick you on anything, which was great too.

Comment:

Sheila is amazing! The material is tough, but she makes it very easy to understand. I was disappointed to find out that she doesn't teach Stat II next semester. She doesn't trick you, tells you exactly what you need to know. Lots of homework, but it definitely helps for the tests! Overall, I would definitely take her again!!

Loved this class. I was very angry to find out that she does not teach Statistics II. I dont think I would have done that well in Statistics I with a different teacher. She is strict about normal things like not being disrespectful in class but is an amazing educator.

Comment:

Truly cares about what she teaches and makes sure you learn it. Very strict as far as rules, but you'll appreciate her a lot in FIN 2802. Gives a lot of extra credit on days when a lot of people skip. If you need help, ask her.

Comment:

Teaches very well. She is always there for the students who want to learn and even for the ones who don't. Walks through every problem until the whole class understands. Very nice lady. Follows the syllabus a little too closely. While I understand the need for respect in the classroom, she seems to take the syllabus a little too seriously.

Took this class and I am no where near good at math of any kind, so I was already preparing for the worst. She is a really nice teacher but can be very intimidating. Her tests are awful, and the mathXl homework was hard to keep up with. I would not take this class with her again.

She won't let you in if you're a second late, but she really cares whether you understand the material or not. MANDATORY to study for the test or you won't pass. I skipped a few classes and got notes from classmates; she won't tell you what she covered if you don't have a good reason for skipping. I love this class and wish she taught stats 2.

Firm but fair, if your phone is out (like many of my peers) you will be dropped a letter grade. I highly enjoyed this teaching style.

The class was easy if you're good at math. I did not like her though. She stopped class to lock one of her students outside of the room because he left to go to the bathroom, or get a drink because he was sick. She says it is distracting, but she causes a bigger distraction doing it.

Show up and pay attention. Sitting in the front helps! Rule #1 DO NOT USE YOUR PHONE, trust me! She is very helpful, do well throughout the year because the final is harder. There is a lot homework that you can do until you get 100% which helps your grade tremendously. She is also very nice as a person!

Barely scraped by with a C. She talks and moves through the material extremely fast. First couple of weeks are easy. After that if you get lost, there's no catching up. Avoid this class if possible.

DO NOT USE YOUR PHONE. Awesome teacher though. She will work with you on anything if you don't understand it. She loves her subject so understand it. I absolutely recommend her to everyone. She explains everything so you understand it well. Just pay attention. If you do well on the test you get an extra 25 pts and don't have to take part 2.

Sheila Grieser was probably the worse professor I ever had. She was very strict and not considerate at all to the students needs and at times she could be rather rude. I would not recommend this professor to anyone but on the bright side, she does know the material that she teaches very well.

She is crazy. There is so much to do in this class and she goes through things so fast. She's very knowledgable in the classes she teaches, the problem is that she doesn't really stop to make sure that the students are getting the concept. I would not recommend this professor to anyone. Not helpful at all.

WORST PROFESSOR EVER!!! She must love seeing her students fail. There's always something and she goes through things so fast, always rushing. This is the most awful class I've ever taken in my life.

Comment:

Great teacher! Always willing to help you out if something doesn't make sense. I tend to hate all math teachers; she's been an exception. Tests are quite hard. She works problems the wrong way and puts those answers on the test as choices. If you fail an exam you get an extra take home portion. Uses MathXL and excel for quizzes.
