Comment:

Sue is the most confusing teacher I have ever taken. If you do not get her lectures which are a little scattered, dont expect her to re-explain or really help. Very nice and amazingly smart but just not helpful once your behind at all..TBH I think she has taught to long and is very impatient. Take Parrish, or dont raise your hand you will feel dumb

Comment:

She walks around with a chip on her shoulder, acts unapproachable, is very vague with instruction, and won't even give you partial credit (such as if you can get the program to compile, but not run). She has a negative general attitude. If you can avoid her class you should. It is not a good investment. Save your money!

She liked to have students pass she explained things as long as you aksed questions on what you dont understand. The class was interesting, even though i had no intrest going into that class. I would take another one of her classes for sure!

Upbeat, and impossible to follow. She jumps around in her lectures so much she gets lost. Her answer to any question outside of class is one word. Mind you, the question isn't one you can answer with a single word.

Great programming teacher. Will bend over backwards to make sure you pass her class. Not hard if you do the homework and study! She can sometimes drone on and on in lecture though, but she can be engaging most times.

Took my first class from Sue in 2005, and still visit her four years later just to talk because I like her so much. As a teacher, she's smart, funny, engaging, and helpful above and beyond the call of duty. Highly recommended.

Great professor, although has this habit of asking a question and then waiting FOREVER in an awkward silence until someone finally mumbles something. However, very helpful and made many topics crystal clear. As long as you do the homework and keep up with the reading, you should be fine. Just remember to participate in class.Then you should enjoyit

She dives into programming talk like you've been doing it for years from day one. Sue's famous line is "if you understood 30% of that, you're doing great" so she gets that it's not easy. Just stay on top of the work and you're ok. Meet others in the CTC to work with. This can be a major factor in your success.

Discrete was so fun. Sue is a demanding teacher but grades for the most part fairly. She allows and extra credit opportunity and is available by email. She responds quickly and would strongly recommend this class or any other one taught by Sue.

I come away from her lectures not being stressed out and having a good understanding of whats going on. Very personable and EXTREMELY helpful one on one. Takes advantage of multiple learning styles for different students.Very Intelligent.

Had her for Discrete Math, interesting class and she is an excellent teacher. Yes, it is tough, but she trys to give the students alot of ways to earn points and those who are willing to work hard should do well.

Understands students are learning a difficult subject and makes great efforts to make it clear, but can overdose on techno-babble too early. Some material is very difficult. Sue is enthusiastic and fun to listen to.

Sue is very helpful and will assist you in any way possible. In class, the lectures are not always completely clear, but she is always willing to answer your questions. She is not easy though, by any means.
