Comment:

Susan Bowman made me realize how much I love graphic design and the potential I really have. There were so many times that I was feeling so discouraged and she showed me how to view my work differently and appreciate it. She respects student who show that they care for the class and want to be there. I would take her a million times over.

Comment:

She was a very nice professor who gives many examples of projects and there to help if you need it. Also, the class is quite fun and interesting. The only complaint is sometimes its only her way for ideas and she won't really want you to try something different.

The projects were very boring and we werent encouraged to do anything outside the box. It was frustrating at times like when I tried to do something different she would be real critical of my ideas. She's pretty often very intimidating, sometimes bulling, but can be cool also. Since it's my major, I was pretty disappointed.

I don't like her at all. At first she really seemed cool and really new her stuff and that she knows a lot of people, but after awhile you realize she tells you wrong stuff all the time and then has an attitude with you. The class is taught by two instructors and we just seem to spin our wheels and don't get anywhere. Very disappointing.

she contradicts, contradicts, contradicts, and contradicts.Oh wait she contradicts herself all the time. Totally not helpful and not a nice person. Does not know anything about graphic design, but guest what she is the CHAIR PERSON OF ROWAN ART department! Rowan is not an graphic design school at all.

I didn't learn much about designing. She seems to know a little about the business side, but not to much about what makes a good designer. She was also frequently rude and bossy. I'm in the design program and I don't feel I'm getting a good experience.

Susan Bowman should not be allowed to teach. Those who like her are probably those of which she has spent the most time direction, or because she liked them enough to give them a good grade without really trying all that hard. She plays favorites, is unclear in what she requires of her students, is rude, biased, and short tempered.
