I absolutely hated this class bc of her. I felt like I didnt learn absolutely anything the whole semester. I will give her that she is better as a teacher one on one than teaching a class though. The tests were easy though because most of them were take home. However I did not know the actual content I just figured out how to find the answers.

Comment:

I have never had a teacher so bad in my life! She goes through the information too fast and expects you to come in with prior chem knowledge. She thinks she is funny but makes ill-humored jokes: "Don't drink draino unless you're suicidal." She plays favorites. She expects you to pay for experiment materials and doesn't care about lab safety.

DO NOT TAKE HER. She is the worst professor i have ever had period. Here is what you need to know- she doesn't like to teach, there are two exams every other week, you learn absolutely nothing and its a total waste of 900 dollars and it will most likely drop your gpa

She sits at her desk 95% of the time on her computer and tells you to read a chapter and do so many problems. I can do that on my own time without a professor. If you ask her to go over it she talks 90mph. Be prepared to teach yourself. She's nice and funny but that doesn't make a great professor.

She is really nice, BUT probably one of the worst professors in the chem department. It's pretty bad when her students can explain molecular orbital theory and symmetry more correctly than she can! This class was a total review of general chemistry and super easy!

Not the best TEACHER, but a great PROFESSOR. Very funny. If you do the homework and pay attention you will have no trouble at all. There is no reason NOT to go to class, they are generally fun and she doesn't like to stay late.

She was easy, but the class was kinda strange. She was gone for the first two weeks. You use the book for homework, and the other book is pretty useful. I got the Chang book and it helped me in class. She talks really fast during class, and she is kinda strange. But don't worry about passing.

She was awesome!! Didn't waste any class time, moved through material quickly and efficiently. She had very fair exams that she really prepared you for and was always available to help you. Her office hours were helpful and she is really nice and willing to help. If you like no nonsense take her!

I really like Dr. Lunsford as a teacher. Although she goes fast at times and might not explain things initially, if you ask her questions she will answer them and show you exactly how to do everything. She is very funny and makes lots of odd comments, keeping the class fun and entertaining.

Worst professor I have ever had. It's sad when there's a PhD in chemistry you cannot trust is giving you correct information. She will NOT admit when she is wrong. Easy to get an A if you go to office hours, but you don't learn anything in the course. SHE PLAYS FAVORITES! I'm definately in a position to know how bad it is, and take my word. AVOID!!

Sometimes I think she forgets she's "Dr. Lunsford" because she's always referring to herself as that... Class taught me nothing whatsoever but I did get an A so if you want easy an easy, dont show up, learn nothing chemistry class, go for it. If not, well...I dont know that you can avoid her.

Teaching style was rather random. Made the material much harder than should be. Came across as very disrespectful of students opinions in class but slightly more helpful one-on-one. I found studying the book more helpful than trying to learn in lecture. Unless the material comes very natural to you I wouldn't recommend taking her.

Definately an easy class if you have already had most of the material. Teaches you like your in elementary school however, still very nice teacher. Good luck tho if you don't already have a slight idea what your doing...could be hard then

She is the worst chem prof. ever! She speeds through everything you cover in the class. When you ask her a question she treats you like u are stupid. The only reason people like her is b.c at the end of the quarter she gives tons of extra credit to boost everyones greades. Avoid her if you really want to learn something!

This class was alright I guess. At first I couldn't stand her because of the way she taught, and I still dont like the way she teaches, but she gave us lots of practice for the exams with practice exams and stuff. And best of all, she gave us an online final, which was open book and notes and everything.
