Comment:
He also teaches EE524 Transient in USC. For midterm he didn't clarify the voltage source in the problem despite the student asked about it. He drew a AC source but take it as a DC source when scoring it. The average of the class is about 40-50/100. If you want to get a high score, avoid this professor!

This class will be unlike any other class you will take, he works full time and has real world experience, so he teaches you stuff you need to be successful and will assist you in your job search. He is also very well connected and got me a job, best choice i made.

Two things to know... (1) He's probably the nicest professor I've ever met; tries to help out in finding you a job. (2) He's one of the worst professors I've ever had. I'm fairly sure he doesn't have much understanding of the material himself. I don't think I heard him give a single satisfactory answer when questioned about the material.

He was a really nice teacher and really tries to help the students out a lot. He asks people from the industry to come in and offer jobs to students. He is also an easy teacher. Doesnt fail any one and the lowest grade with some effort u can get is a B- .

he literally picks up the book and reads out of it. problem is, you dont know what he's going to test you on and he's already done all the book problems for you. attendance is mandatory, but sitting around while he reads the book isnt so bad.

This guy simply can't teach. I don't think he knows the stuff himself... at least that's the impression we get. Very weak at concepts himself and yet tests us on "concepts" during midterm. TA's aren't helpful either. No midterm reviews or guidlines. You're pretty much on ur own and clueless as to how you should prepare for the exams.

This guy is a LIAR! He is a ****TER! The only reason students like him is because he doesn't fail anyone. He works for Southern California Edison during the day, so he doesn't have time to prepare lectures. He just grabs the textbook and ****s his lectures as he goes along.

He is an excellent professor. Does a nice job explaining the concepts and real world applications. I would recommend that every EE take at least one course with Ahmed just for the exposure to the material. He's practical and very approachable.

I learnt a lot in his class. He made me think and taught what he practices in power system. Never miss his class as he builds concepts in each lecture. The class is easy if you don't miss any sessions. It is tough if you skip some sessions. A great teacher. He cares.

Easy when the class is small. He doesn't teach a lot study by the book.
