I graduated from UWP in 2009 with an ME degree. Looking back on school, Professor Ceylan was still my favorite professor. The material was difficult, but that's engineering school. He treated us like we were employees or colleagues, with respect and utmost professionalism. He didn't waste time. He was honest in his answers and thorough in lecture.

Doesn't know how to separate student relationships and his professional work. Very picky about vocabulary and will act like he doesn't understand your questions if they aren't worded correctly. He knows what he's doing, but I wouldn't take again unless I absolutely had to.

Talks in riddles and not very helpful. Looks down on you as if he's a lot better. Don't really like that kind of attitude; it makes learning harder. I didn't think exams were all that easy either. If you have to take him, please post your thoughts. This guy seems to be a hit or miss.

Yes, very professional, but that's about all he has going for him. I went to see him to ask about the final and all he said was "Everything I want you to know is in your notes." Well that's great and all, but he has terrible lectures. They're very hard to follow and even harder to take notes on. Others give an outline of whats on the exam, not him

Extremely professional, the man does not make mistakes. Always willing to help outside of class. Exceptionally knowledgeable of the subject, and expects you to be knowledgeable by the course end. Take his suggestions and do the work and I assure you that you will be. Can't wait to take another course taught by him.

General thermo-- tries hard to act sophisticated and comes off as just plain "weird" but is more helpful if you dare visit office than asking questions in class. You will be treated like a retard in front of the class. Exam comments: classic "could be better could be worse". I think he only teaches it once every couple years.

Material is difficult but that's not his fault. Always helpful and makes an effort to get the message through to the students. Sets aside time in class for questions on the homework, will answer anything. If you want to learn, he will teach you. One of the best professors I've had in ME.

Comes off as a bit cold, but a good instructor none the less. Tests are difficult, but curved to adjust. Very professional and undetached, but he will help if you seek him out. Lets not forget that thermo is a tough class regardless of instructor.

A good professor. His exams are very difficult. He is a fair grader. As long as you come to class and make an effort to learn, you will succeed in his class. He may seem different at first, but you will get used to him.
