Super chill guy and is willing to help everyone and make sure they learn. The class is tough but not if you work with other students and take advantage of help sessions. You will not fail this course if you simply ask for help.

one of the hardest classes I've taken. The book is absolutely mandatory--it'll be your lifeline. Brumm wants you to learn and if you fall behind if you ask for help he'll walk you through everything. Watch the homework grading though-ouch

Comment:

Dr. Brumm is clearly a nice guy and generally pretty forgiving in his grading. Though, I dont feel like Im leaving this class with a lot more information than when I came into the class. Also, it seemed to be a regular occurrence that we would be assigned homework with obscure questions or errors before we went over the specifics of the problems.

Comment:

He makes biorenewables as interesting as he possibly can. His grading on tests are a little unclear due to the fact that you can put down word for word what he puts on his slides and he'll mark you off for not including more so it's nearly impossible to get a perfect score on tests. Always come to class, he has pop up team problems sometimes

Brumm's a pretty good prof. I thought the class was very interesting and it's an easy tech elective for engineers. Can't say I agree with him on his 'green' views but he seems like a nice guy

great prof, tsm 201 was...to say the least....was the class that i learned the most in throughout college so far, (a senior now) very helpful and always willing to work with you, even if you're not in his class. basically...awesomeness in balding form
