Comment:
Attendance is mandatory but he allows 4 absences. There were 3 exams in total and everything is covered in lecture so if you don't go to class you're not going to pass. He required the textbook but we only used it for clarification and one project. It's an easy class as long as you study and t is a lot of information so you should pay attention.

If you have this professor, good luck. He will talk for 3 hours straight (gives you no breaks). His tests were extremely difficult. Most of the things on the test were not covered in his powerpoint, review sheet, or even the lectures.

Very knowledgeable teacher, but that's what makes it such a hard class. He is able to get very specific with detail and sometimes it is difficult to remember such specific info. Textbook is a need to do the hw and to study. Great professor, just such dense material.

Prof Lemonda is an amazing instructor, who is ubber passionate about nutrition. The introductory FNES class changed my life forever. A wealth of information, that is practical. Concerning the grade... Come on: Pay attention in class and read the book! Are you in college or what?

Comment:
Tom is a swell fellow, but as a teacher prepare to be confused for half the time. The information itself is not conceptually difficult. Moreso, Lemonda goes too fast and he states that everything is important, and because of this it is difficult to specify what you should actually study.

This professor is very sweet and genuine but it is nearly impossible to keep up with the information he throws at you. There are no reviews for tests and he never repeats important information. If you want an A, you're going to have to teach yourself. I suggest reading the textbook.

Loved this professor! he is so passionate about his profession and studies - you can learn so much from him. Yes he is hard and talks a lot, and doesn't put up power points for you to follow with.,, but if you actually pay attention and jot down what he emphasizes and reiterates then study that, you can pass. i would love to take him again!

Prof. Lemoda gave us more information on the topics and he is very resourceful. Study the chapters/handouts if you want an A. He is one of the best professors out there and if you didn't do well in his class, you did not study the chapters/handouts. He is very caring and I was offered an INC due to our pet's surgery. Thank you Professor.

Very challenging Professor. Do not take him; I registered for his 3hr class over summer and he is very hard to follow. He won't allow you to extra credit to boost that grade. Does not give INCs. He is apart of some cult affliction, like so many others in the education field. Beware!

Prepare yourself to read a lot of material. There is only 2 Exams (1 Mid term & 1 final),1 Project. So if you fail the midterm, good luck on the final. He expects you to know your knowledge from previous courses. Smart professor knows what he's saying but disorganized. How I passed was read the chapters and slides. Notes here and there. Got a B+.

Avoid him at all costs. I needed to take this class again and if I failed, I would be dropped out of the major. He did not give the midterm which was worth 40% until 2 weeks after the pnc date. I talked to him and he kept postponing the midterm. Horrible at giving back tests..doesn't care at all.

Worst teacher ever.doesn't care if you pass or fail. Is brilliant but has no idea how to teach. He makes you do so much work and no matter how hard you study it's pretty much impossible to pass but thank god he curves it 20-30 points since the class average was a 55. You will be miserable in this class and dread going everyday.

Lot's of studying required in this course. His lectures are def helpful and reinforce exactly what the txtbk says. The amount of knowledge he has abt the health field is amazing. His exams are extremely challenging and a lot of students fail. You really have to read the questions carefully. READ! TAKE NOTES! STUDY! It will pay off!

His class is pretty interesting, however, when you get to the test (nutrition) he puts material on that he never taught, or that he mentioned as a total side point. This is the only B I ever received, and I'm a senior...

He is very knowledgeable about his field. But does not give good lectures in the sense that you can take notes to study from. The tests made no sense since the material was not from text or notes mostly. Very, very hard. BEWARE!
