Dr. Weinberg is my favorite professor on this campus. He explains material through his real life experiences. He talks for a while sometimes off topic but if you show him you care about your grade, in return he will do the same. Pay attention every word is memorable for tests.

If you expect to do well in this class you won't, My whole class did poorly on each of the 4 tests he gave. After each test he tells you how low the class average is, boring class to sit through, goes off topic a lot, doesn't upload grades on blackboard, doesn't make powerpoints and his class notes are all over the place and vague.

do not take this class with him!!! He only grades you on 3 exams, that's based on the two texts& the lectures. 2 chapters in each text (50 pg each) and he doesn't tell you what to pay attention in the text so now you have to pray whatever you read is on the test. no extra credit. brags about his failing rate( 90%) no assignments to boost grade

Dr. Weinberg is a great man but he needs to add more to his grading criteria. Only has 3 test but that is your grade the total of your three exams. If you flunk the first exam it is hard to get yourself back on track . You need to keep reading a priority because he uses two texts. He really wants students to succeed but his classes are hard

Only graded on 3 tests. Test questions are difficult as they are derived from anywhere from 3-7 chapters of a book. Lecutres can be interesting, but note taking is hard as he doesnt follow a clear class structure. If you do the reading thuroughly, you should be ok.

- Really knowledgable; a pioneer in the field. - Can ramble on into stories during lectures. Makes it hard to know if you should take notes or not. - Willing to meet with you and work with you outside of class if struggling. - Tests are everything: the 3 you take are the only thing that goes towards your grade. So DO GOOD!

Dr. Weinberg is a standout Professor for sure. I am a senior and I can honestly say I have learned the MOST in the three classes I took with him. He encourages you to come to office hours and will even review your notes & give feedback. NO ONE wants you to succeed more than Tom Weinberg! His theory class is amazing! Highly recommend!

he talks a lot. If you are not a morning, please do not take his class at 8 am because you will probably fall asleep. stuff on the textbook will be used on the test as well as what he says in class. A lot of information to put in your head. Overall he's kind of funny and a chill guy. He also doesn't post grades online

Dr. Weinberg is hands down the best professor I've ever had. His teaching style combines interesting stories with sociological thought and theories. I loved both the class material and the way Dr. Weinberg teaches. All around great guy and a very respectable teacher. Highly recommend. He is very helpful when it comes to test preparation.

Currently taking the class now, and is by far the worst structured class I have ever taken in my career at Buffalo State. Has absolutely no fluidity to his lectures, goes off on tangents about every single topic we discuss and does not provide any important information for exams. Need to learn all the material by yourself because he doesnt teach it.

I took SOC100 with Dr. Weinberg last semester. He is a very fair teacher and is very open to help student. Hosts reviews and gives out review sheets. His tests are high-school level and if you do the readings and show up to lecture, you will pass.

if you don't pass this man's class that means you couldnt have been paying attention. the study guide he gives you is literally the same format of the test. one thing that helped me was actually completing the study guide while in class because he hands it out far in advance, one of the easiest classes i have ever taken

This class was not mandatory attendance, passes around the sheet, but doesnt check. just had to get the review sheets for the test. He gives you them and 50/100 questions from the review sheets are on the tests. He's a funny old guy, class was interesting when I actually went. half the review sheet questions from the test other from the lectures.

Great, sweet professor. Two exams and then the final is from the second exam to the end of the semester. They are verbatim from the study guide he supplies you. Do the study guide and make a Quizlet, and you'll be golden.

Sweetest man ever. But you don't really need to pay attention in class. Dont have to attend to pass. Funny. Class in all over he talks a lot. No homework. Only 3 test and he gives you outlines on them. Just do the outline and you will pass. Go to his office hours if you need help on the exam he will give you answers ! STUDY THE OUTLINE.

He is a very nice man outside of the classroom. Went to him before first exam during his office hours to have clarify some things in the text book. Literally got told to just keep reading didn't even get my note book out yet and his lectures are off topic and scattered. honestly worst class ever. Class isnt even relevant to test

He gives an outline for the TWO TESTS which have nothing to do with the test. He goes on long tangents about his past job as a grave digger and tells the same stories over and over. Hope your an auditory learner because he doesn't give powerpoints or notes.
