Amazing. Lets you revise your essays until you are satisfied with it. Super Hilarious in class and tries to be a comedian but fails xD. Loves Indonesian People. Make sure to come to class because its important, but his lectures are amazing. There is homework after every class but its fairly simple. Would take him anytime.

I had him for both 122 and 126 because prof. barber truly is an extraordinary professor and super funny. On the downside, his essay grading rubric is not much help. He does not keep you posted on your grade throughout the semester... you wont know what grade you have in this class until the semester is over.

He's a great teacher and I enjoyed his class. Funny and very open. He cares about each of his students. There is daily homework after class but it's easy to do. The essays are kinda hard but you can go to his office hours for revision as many times you like until the end of semester. Just complete the work and an A is easy but don't miss class.

Professor Barber was the best professor i had last semester. No quizzes/exams/finals, just homework assignments every meeting which you can easily get full credit on. We just watched movies, read several interesting books, and the class was really really light! I'd take his class again!!

Professor Barber was easily the most interesting professor I have ever had. As long as you go to class and do the classwork/ quick at-home reading and creative writing assigned each night you're good. He also isn't a fan of cellphones and electronicsmor students who often miss his class. Highly recommend taking his english class!

Easy A however 50% of your grade is based on in class work and homework. If you show up to class and do the homework youre chilling. Not particularly interesting and a rather slow class. However, if youre looking for a good professor and a slow, easy class Id recommend him.

One of the best professor at DVC. Respectful and an amazing professor. Never he discriminated anyone in his class, he provides equal rights to everyone and encourage all his students to participate in his class. He realizes his students problems and issues. I honestly had two classes with him and Im v happy and sadisfied. real mr wonderful.

One of the greats at DVC!!! You'll write a lot but it's easy stuff. Journal type essays due every class and 3 (950 word) essays due throughout the semester. No right or wrong answers in this class, just do what's asked of you and you'll get an A. Show up, phone off and HAVE FUN! He'll help you with anything, he loves teaching his students.

I went into class knowing he was somewhat of a good professor because my friends took him. I want to retake him!!! Unfortunately that was my last English class. He teaches in a different way so those that are struggling with English take him, I did a paper on a poem, the amendments, and what you shouldnt have to pay for in life. He made it fun.

Wonderful! There are tons of 1 page essay every meeting which is fairly quick to finish. 3 major essays for the whole semester. A hilarious guy, attendance is mandatory but you'll definitely regret not coming to his lecture because he always provides laughters for the whole period

Very funny old guy, every class felt like a stand up comedy sketch, 3 essays, lots of homework every class - one writing assignment and a reading, no textbooks just a lot of essay packets, grades well, I definitely improved my writing skills and I don't like english.

AWESOME - You write 200-word papers each week about a short story that can be done in 1 hour. He's very funny & sarcastic. He makes wild jokes all throughout the semester which makes the lecture fly by. He fist bumps each student every morning. There are no tests, quizzes, no midterms, and no final. The longest reading is 14 pages.

Omg I love love love this guy! He is so freaking hilarious and is always there for his students, not to mention he's adorable old sweet guy most likely very handsome when he was younger still adorable. I can't get enough of him amazing easy teacher best at DVC to be honest. Love you Mr. Wonderful. P.s. always remind him to flip the calendar haha

He is the best. You will have a writing assignment every week. But it only takes 30-45 mins to finish. Just do the reading and all the writing assignments and revise your long papers and you will be fine. There are no wrong answers in your writing. Just back up your opinion with examples in the reading. He is a yeasty onion-eyed dogfish! lol

Comment:

Professor Barber is awesome!! I loved his character. He makes learning English enjoyable. No textbooks! No quizz! No final! But he gives lots of writings during the semester. Being present in class is important to him. Just take his class and enjoy :)
