Do not.... do not take him if you can avoid it at all costs. His final was 60% and the midterm was 20% and he gave no formulas for the exams. Extremely hard to understand and hand writing is awful. I dont have any positive things to say about this class. Worst physics teacher ever.

Super cool and chill professor. Very fair and curve so fat youd have to try and fail the class. The only gripe is that he makes you memorize the formulas but the test questions are easy enough to the point where just knowing them will get you the right answer or at least most of the credit. MT 1 was a little challenging, but the final was very easy

Prof. Mohideen is one of the most caring professors you can have in UCR which is a nice change because our physics department doesn't have the best rep. Althought he does expect us to memorize formulas for our exams, it isnt as overwhelming as other people make it out to be! PARTIAL CREDIT HELPS A LOT DURING EXAMS! He's more than willing to help.

He's a very passionate professor and wants you to succeed. Yes, you don't get a formula (but if you ask, you do have a chance to get one: it depends on class vote). His exams are pretty straightforward, as long as you know the formula. Some of his questions do pull from the homework, so if you do take him, really try on the homework!

I still have no idea what happened in that class. He grades really easily, but his tests don't make any sense. He doesn't even answer questions right on the review. Good luck if you're in this class.

You better be prepared for the final cuz he don't provide no formula sheet fam. You gottta memorize like a bunch of formulas for like 30+ equations. If u ain't down for memorizing stuff take another class

The man cares and he wants you to succeed. Put in the work, do what you're suppose to do and you'll be fine. He is enthusiastic about the subject and he will answer your questions.

Great prof. Very straight forward and clear as to what he expects. Midterm was very fair. Study the HW and formulae and you're set for it. The final was much harder, with heavy emphasis on magnetism/electrical currents (~65% of exam). Very helpful in office hours.

Helpful prof with a great attitude. Hard subject though, so you will need to put in a lot of effort on your own.

Good teacher. Class seemed a little intimidating at first because tests are solely free response. Just study the hw and examples done in class.. only thing that bugged,is he would wait TOO long for students to answer his questions.

In my opinion, Dr. Mohideen is probably the best physics professor. I have sat in other professors' lectures before and he's the best so far. Physics is a tough subject but he tries to make it easier for his students to understand. Definitely take him if you can.

The most difficult class I've ever taken. More difficult than quantum mechanics. Has a good attitude. Doesn't just lecture--he makes the class interactive by asking students questions, encouraging them to think for themselves. At times, however, he got confused by his own notes, wasting much class time trying to decipher them.

knows his stuff. before class, he walks up and down physics2000 asking individual students how they are doing in the course. his tests are incredibly hard, but his grading is incredibly lenient. he will give you partial credit if you draw a diagram!

Grading is lenient by science majors' standard. Partial credit is awarded for chicken scratch and some physics. If you know most of it, you get almost all the points. But the questions are somewhat difficult.
