Whatever you do, do NOT take this class online. She seems like she knows what she is doing, however, it is very hard to understand when all she post are powerpoints and her "notes". Every class I have taken online, the professors have at least posted helpful videos, she does not. HORRIBLE online class. Find another professor.

Comment:

Professor Jones is a great teacher. Her tone of voice may seem a little harsh to some but its just some sarcasm thrown in with her answering your question, get over it. Material is kind of hard but its a fairly straight forward class and she gives extra credit if you show up to class a minute or two early. 1 of the tests is a timed take home.

Very intelligent woman, problem is she expects you to already have past knowledge and know how to apply it. Not helpful, subject is easy for her so she expects everyone to understand the concepts quickly. Do not miss class, very sarcastic lady and tough. she does not play, talks down to her students as if they are middle or high school kids.

Comment:

This was one of the toughest classes I've ever taken but it had nothing to do with the professor but the material rather. She is clear with assignments and very responsive to all emails; gives extra credit and extra points for participating in BB discussions, which are easy. Take her online.

This was my second attempt at this course (it's not an easy one). Mrs. Jones was difficult, at first. It seemed she was flying past me on a motorcycle and I was in the slow lane. She didn't hesitate to make multiple efforts to assist me with extra help and answer the many questions I had. If you respect her, she will respect you, and I admire that.

Under explain relative to what she expects; harsh grader, little partial credit even for correct rationale. Spent about as much time likening Barack Obama to the second coming of Christ as she did discussing statistics. Enjoy statistics, didn't enjoy her class.

Worst teacher I've ever had from kindergarten all through out college. She is snotty and does not answer any questions with clarity. If she even answers them at all. I do not recommend her to any one whatsoever. Very poor teacher !!

This class requires a textbook and thinking, no way around it. Ms. Jones was very fun and she really wants to help. She made me love Statistics. She is no nonsense though, and will not let you slack off and expect a good grade out of her class. She was the best professor I've had, hands down.

This is one class that you earn your grade in. There is NO extra credit, no late work accepted, and NO EXCUSES!! (she does give one make-up assignment)She expects you to study and makes it known when you didn't. She is tough as nails but she is a good teacher. I took this class online and it was the worst mistake I've ever made in my college career. This class dropped my GPA down from 3.8 to 3.4. I emailed her constantly with questions and concerns and only got generic answers that left me just as confused. Not enough time was given for tests or assignments. Everything was rushed and I learned nothing

The most challenging class/teacher I've taken. If you have problems or don't understand; GO TO HER! She WILL help you. And no, she doesn't bite! She will NOT just give you the answers, but guides you in the right direction. A difficult class for me and I thank God I passed.

Unless you already know stats. I would not recommend her. Intelligent, but difficult in relating that knowledge to students. Speeds through the material as though students have prior stats. knowledge. Will not help with "algebra/calculator" processes. No tutor in math lab or ATC computer lab. Will not allow help from anyone but herself.

Good luck. Best wishes. She doesn't answer questions (or if she attempts to answer them, she comes across rude and as though it's a "stupid question".... WHY would I take this class if I already know the material? She should TEACH instead of preach. Not recommended.

Very demanding and EXPECTS respect! Also expects students to do the in class problems within 2 minutes. Doesn't "teach", just goes over problems. Students read the chapters - she works the problems. Moves very quickly through the material. Would not recommend this teacher.

She's a good teacher overall. Tests shouldn't be hard if you show up to class everyday, read chapters, do assignments. Mult-choice tests, except you don't get a copy of tests, it would help on the comprehensive. She does expect you to read chapters before class. So read and everything will make sense.

Mrs. Jones is a great professor. She expects you to pay attention and to study. If you study the terms she tells you in the beggining it is a breeze. Just make sure not to get behind. She expects you to know things but tells you beforehand. always helpful if you need extra help in office.

She is very helpful and nice assuming that you pay attention and go to class. She was always very helpful and nice whenever I approached her. I don't enjoy going to class but she made class at least somewhat interesting. She'll make you think, but if you do your work and pay attention, the class is a breeze.
