Dr. Haiwen is a solid choice and very knowledgeable about the topics discussed in the course. You get an entire piece of paper front and back as a cheat sheet on the exams. He is passionate about the topic but admittedly he does occasionally go too quickly but will gladly repeat himself if you ask. Overall a nice guy and an interesting class.

Professor Zhou is great! He does his best to make sure everyone understands the material. Make sure to watch the review as he is very helpful in outlining what will be on the exam. There are only 3 exams (the 3rd is cumulative) and no homework. Be sure to keep up with lectures, it's easy to fall behind.

No HW-three tests based on lectures. No textbook needed. Curves grades. Accent took one or two classes to get use to then was fine. Easy to re-listen to lecture at those points needed. Answers questions during class when asked-NOT usually at reviews! So ask before test time. Or, go see him for clarification. Loves teaching and knows his stuff.

Prof. Zhou uses every minute of each class and will go over three chapters in one class period, if he has the time. There are only three tests, but if you pay attention in class and focus on the test review session you will be fine. He allows for an ENTIRE 8.5x11 sheet of paper on each test. He curves in a weird way, but don't sweat that.

Dr. Z is great! Tests based solely on lecture, so book is barely used unless you need additional help understanding a concept. 2 midterms and final, curved. He allows a cheat sheet, but you MUST understand the concepts and mathematics to do well. Thick accent, but I had no trouble understanding him as I've had several TAs and professors from China.

Very nice Professor. Three exams, no homework. You need to keep up and watch the lectures. Must know material to do well on exams. Gives exam question examples and prep prior to exam. Curves the exam grades also. You can tell he loves teaching. Allows cheat sheet, just be aware you have to know how to work the formulas. Accent took more time 4 me.

Interesting professor. Sometimes difficult to understand his accent. I love econ and specifically international econ, and I did pretty well, but I know some students struggled. All tests multiple choice. All directly from the notes. Barely glanced at the text book. Curves the test.

He try's hard to get his points across and has a genuine interest in the subject matter, but he is just too hard to understand. He flys through the material too fast, the majority of my class had no idea what he was talking about. The entire grade was based on 10% attendance and 2 tests. He did however tell you whats on them so they were fairly ez

Zhou is very nice and surly brilliant, but his english is not clear enough and the slides passed by quickly - no point to try and ask because of communication problems. he does allow cheat-sheets in the exams, and there all multiple choice - but beware this was a SELF-TOUGHT course for me!

Has PHD & very smart. Chinese & still mastering english language. Very fair on exams, allows use of formula sheet. Pulled an A but did study alot. Difficult material for most students conceptually & math wise. He is highly enthusiastic about subject & willing to help students. Like most asians, teaches up to last minute, no early go homes.

Professor Zhou was a very nice man. I took the course Teletech and it was not bad. You were allowed to bring in 1 8 1/2 11 paper per test! The only problem was that he has a thick accent.I would recommend this teacher to my friends.

Dr Zhou's class was more like a race to cram as many chapters in as possible!(this is just a funny point not implying its hard). He is a great teacher and incredibly smart. You can tell he has a real passion for Economics and he is VERY realistic with his expectations. Go to class(attendance is 10%) and his tests are easy! You get a cheat sheet!

Great professor. He likes to talk a lot, but the classes are usually very interesting. The material is a bit hard, but he gives extra credit points. Make sure to make it to as many classes as possible & your grade will reflect in your attendence. The tests are usually easy & he tells you exactly what to study.
