Comment:
95% test and 5% HW. Everyone says this class is difficult, but I feel ok, as long as you understand Calculus well enough? Dr Tremblay won't put crazy math in the tests. The functions are basically linear and quadratic cases. (Btw, if you really afraid, take mth 254 vector calculus before this class, then you will be all set lol)

Comment:
411 is really hard, but Tremblay makes it possible. He's always available to answer questions and explain things one-on-one. Going to class and paying attention are the best things you can do. Exams are usually curved heavily. The more you can fit on the note sheet, the better you'll do.

Comment:
Dr. Tremblay is very friendly and knowledgeable. The averages on tests were low( D+/C-) however I did well on them, but for those who dont he curves the class at the end and its beyond friendly(I had a friend in the class who with the test grades shouldve earned a C+, but they actually earned an A-). Work hard, ask questions youll do well.

I felt Dr. Tremblay's class was one of the better ones at osu. He does lecture all class long, but he is pretty chill and presents different angles to think about. Homework wasn't graded for accuracy, but just to get you to do it. A fair amount of reading. He lets you use a full sheet of notes for exam. Knows this is tough stuff, and curves exams.

Vic. was a very good professor. He was clear and to the point, and was very good about answering questions inside and out of class. Took Microeconomic Theory, was very pleased.

Excellent professor, knowledgeable about the subject and has done interesting research. Tons of reading but most of it is optional. You get out what you put in. Exams are hard & grading is tough but curve is generous. Hard work but it's worth it! Super nice person who really seems to enjoy teaching. Highly recommended - for serious students only!

Should have figured I should have dropped the class with one look at the Syllabus. NO due date for any assignments, has a list of readings but doesn't say when to read them by.He updates the little amount of documents that are on Blackboard with out notification of the update. Writes on the chalk board and doesn't use any technology in class.

It's econ, It won't be exciting, but it will be very informative. He tries to use examples we can relate too. He curves hugely! but If you go to his extra review session before the test and know whats on the study guide, you will be perfectly fine. This class is a lot of common sense! It's sad that people don't show up to class and blame him.

Like others have said, the lectures can put you to sleep. To his credit, it's pretty hard to make economics entertaining and he does do a decent job of explaining it. Tests will kill you... but the curve will bring you back to life. In no other class can you get 200/300 for a solid A! Nice of him to realize the difficulty and adjust for it.

Scored between 42 and 62% on the 3 tests he had and the curve was so great that i got a B in the class. He was very boring and seemed as if he tried to do as little as possible for the class. Glad it is over!

Very hard class. His notes are very confusing and the book explains more than he does. However, he curves the tests like crazy, which is always a good thing.

I'm only doing this because everyone else has only taken his lower division classes. He is a nice man who is very willing to help, but his class is hard. I got a 43% on the first midterm... which was a B. Expect to work and you'll do fine.

His lectures aren't the most fascinating things you will sit through, but his tests are fairly easy. He curves and the curve on the 2nd midterm was over 100 points on a 300 point test, you could get a low D and still have gotten an A for the class.

His tests are pretty easy if you study the book but his lectures put me straight to sleep. The only thing that kept my attention was his mystery sweat patch that gradually develops as he lectures. I dunno how a dude sweats so much in the middle of his chest but it's fun to ponder.

I hate the subject, but he is a nice guy and a lot easier to listen to than my ECON202 professor. Tests are hard but he scales them and so it's not impossible to get an A or A-.

Tremblay is an easy teacher, very approachable. I joined at end of the 2nd week and got 100% on the 1st midterm, all multiple choice and all test questions are on random online site's practice tests. Insane curve: 210/300 = A (Are you kidding me!). However, he is boring and you can learn from book.

This class is way too hard and Victor makes it that way. Average tests were in the 40's and there's not much of a curve. Way too difficult.
