Dr. Parpura is a terrific lecturer, but you definitely have to read the book as well. His tests are HARD, and he definitely tests on small details. With that said, he gives a generous curve. Almost the entire class made As and Bs, but you definitely have to work for it.

The key to getting an A in his class is doing your very best on the Midterm. Otherwise, you're screwed b/c his Final is IMPOSSIBLE! Top 16 scores on the final automatically get A's in the class and are taken out of the curve calculations. Also, he sets the curve at a B-. Very funny, very intelligent guy... highly recommended.

Prof. Vlad is the best teacher I ever had! He responds quickly to e-mails. He gave us exteded office hours-beyond the call of duty. The only prof I had so far to have a full day office hours prior to exams. He cares very much for his students, a rare trait these days. I recommend him highly for future cbns 106 studnets. A great experience!

He is a great professor, makes class interesting most of the time. He knows his drugs really well and will expain their effects to you just as well. Very helpfull and understanding but lectures don't cover all the material. READ the BOOK.

VERY EASY to pass class. his "sweet 16 rule" is the highest 10% scores (16 students) on the final will get an A and be taken out of the curve! if you fail the first midterm and pratical, study hard for his final, you will get an A.

Lectures are conducted well BUT you're much better off reading the book and understanding it. Lectures are less important after midterm. Take some time memorizing structures for anatomy practicum. It goes a long way in helping your final grade.

Parpura has a very strong accent. Its hard to understand what he's saying sometimes. His tests are very hard, but he gives good curves. (the avg. score was a B) Take Stanely instead.
