Listen. This class will be hard no matter who you take it with. HOWEVER. Prof Martin is a kind man and hes actually pretty funny but teaching may not be his strongest asset. The tests are impossible and they are very heavily weighted. I strongly recommend taking this online so you can use chegg to actually pass the tests. Also the HW takes forever

I am not a fan of his teaching style. He puts everything on connect and leaves you to teach yourself. No videos nothing. Tests are crazy, homework seems like work for two classes. I wouldnt take him.

The man cares. He is clear when he explains the material. He gives real world examples. Expectations are clear.

Mr. Martin is a cool and funny guy. His class lectures on the other hand - are usually short followed by practice problem. Not much explanation, for being exposed to this kind of material for the first time. Lots of self studying and reading. Definitely need tutoring to pass if you struggle. Tests are 3 hrs long/ need 50-60s to pass, still doable!

I ended up dropping him within three days of the start of the semester. He did not put anything on canvas, no mods, no grades, nothing. Everything was in the syllabus and he contradicted himself several times, stating that the assignments are due per the McGraw Hill, but are due to the schedule in the syllabus which is completely different.

This was the hardest class I have ever taken. Theres lots of homework assignments, a project, and four tests in the flex class. I scored 55-56s on my tests and got 100 on my project and hw to get a B. I would not recommend to anyone.

Professor Martin really is a good guy, however, his class is 99% SELF STUDY. Financial Accounting is not an easy course and taking this class only made it harder (for me). The homework takes HOURS to complete, the exams are difficult and he lectures off of powerpoint slides. I have learned nothing throughout his course and will be re-taking ACG2021

He is a nice guy and I can tell he knows what he's talking about but i would avoid his class. It is extremely demanding in homework and he doesn't provide much help. He starts the class off by saying "you need 100% on your homework and 50% on all your tests".... Tests are 3 hrs long in testing center and HW takes hours to complete. Dont recommend.

Good luck getting him to respond to any emails. If you are taking the online class, and can't make it to the testing center to take your exams, don't plan on passing. If you don't take the tests in a testing center, you don't have enough time to complete the long extensive accounting questions. hated this course. WILL NEVER TAKE THIS TEACHER AGAIN.

Be sure to complete (and understand) the homework on schedule as the tests are basically the same as the homework. It may seem like a lot of homework, but do it well, and I believe you will pass. The homework and tests are all through an online Pearson thing.

Professor Martin is a great guy. He lectures off of slides, and will make you work to figure out taxes. He won't give you the answer, but will direct you to where you need to go. He's easy to talk to and responds well to email.

ACG2021C is the hardest class I've taken and Martin does not make it easier. There are 13 chapters and each has 3 hours of homework to do. The tests are 3 hours long and difficult to study for. The project is easy. Doing all of the homework and getting a 50 average on the tests will get you a C. Perseverance is key. Go to tutoring.

Material is difficult but 50% avg on all tests plus homework is passing with a C. I got Ds and ended up with a B in class. I worked for those Ds, however. Very few got above a C on any tests. It will feel very overwhelming at first, but once you understand his grading, you'll see it is doable. Show him you care about your grade.

Prof. Martin is an amazing teacher if you are ready to put in the work and learn a lot during the process! Do not expect an easy A, you will have to work for it!! However, Mr. Martin is always ready to help and truly cares about his students. Advice: take all tests in the testing center and keep up with the work.

the grading scale is really weird. if you get a 50 on each exam and do ALL the online homework and project youll get a C. Which seems easy but mostly everyone was getting barely 50s on the exams. and theres a lot of hw. He seems to be ok with everyone barely making a C. also, very hard to contact and doesn't reply to emails. exam in testing center

Tough course. Favorable grading scale. Do the HW, study the quizzes, and maintain a C avg on the test and you should pass with at least a B. Does go quickly through lectures but is willing to explain concepts that weren't understood the first time around.

I want to start by saying that accounting is not an easy course in general. It takes focus and persistence. With that being said, I regarded professor Walter as someone who knows what he's teaching very well. don't be mad if you don't get incredible grades on the exams. he makes them hard so you do the hw as well. HW is a must to pass this class.

Professor Martin is definitely a character. He is nice, helpful and funny. His class was hard but not because of him. His grading scale is different. If you do all the HW, quizzes and get an average of 50-70 on the tests, you can pass with a B.
