Social Problems - BEST CLASS I HAVE EVER TAKEN. Does not take attendance and it has zero affect on your grade. Only 3 grades for entire semester. All 3 are multiple choice tests with a short essay at the end. Short essay is take home. He drops the lowest grade out of the three. Easiest Best class I have ever taken. No doubt.

No attendance taken. Only 3 tests in which the worst grade is dropped, no homework or other assignments, so if you're a bad test taker like me then def avoid. He talks very fast, a lot of test material is based on notes taken in class. Gives test essay topics ahead of time. Mult choice and essays on tests. Didn't like his style but he's a nice guy.

You can miss class from time to time just email everyone about what you need to do. Someone usually responds, dont worry. NOT AN ESSAY A JS! All we did was take 3 MC tests, all Qs are his views, he gave a take home essay for each test. ...I received a C but he emailed me back saying if i wanted to raise my grade. So if u want take it if not dont

He gets you to think about the issues we are discussing. Many times he prefaced the discussion by saying ?he would argue? but doesn?t expect you to accept his POV as fact or to pass the course. Does a fine job presenting alternatives to popular notions. Lectures are the key to passing the tests so pay attention and you?ll earn a grade you deserve.

You know you're in for something when the professor walks in the first day of class and advises you that he has 'purple haze syndrome.' Goes on and on in class about material that's hardly found in the book. If you're way liberal, his rants are kind of interesting, but some people get noticeably offended. I wouldn't recommend him.

Do yourself a big favor do not take this Professor he is by far the worst Prof. ever. I did not learned anything all he did all semester long was talk about the politics. He is crazy. Again do not take him or you will fail the class. No matter how hard you work he doesn't care. Save your money for another class....Do not take him ever.

I took him for the summer. I was very interesting in the subject and expected to get a lot out of the class, but surely did not. Two tests, both out of the book which he does not talk about in class. I do not recommend him.

Comment:

Summer Pre-Session. 2 Tests, both out of the book and easy if you have a good social science background. No attendance policy. Classes were painful: professor is an extremist who thinks 9/11 is a conspiracy, and repeats his claims despite irrelevancy to the topic. Class teaches white males why they are at fault for all of the world's problems.

This class was okay. No homework, no projects, no handouts, and no quizzes. The hardest part about this class was knowing what to study to prepare for the 3 tests that he gave. He puts very little notes on the board, the class is a listen and learn class. If you do bad on the first two tests, he gives you a chance to pull up your grade.

Wanted to give three exams but was only able to give two, with the third being optional. Lectures where interesting and thought provoking but related minimally to content that was in exams. You can get a B without really reading the text; I'm sure it's and easy if you read the chapters. NO ATTENDANCE POLICY OR ESSAYS. Exams are matching or choice.

do not take him, espically at 7 in the morning. worst class ever, i actually was interested in the course, but he barely taught it. when he did, he read right from the book. exams are essay questions that he gives you, but grades very unfair. also VERY BORING.. put me to sleep almost every class
