Comment:

This is a semester of content crammed into 4 weeks. I took it online over the summer while working 50+ hours, so it was hard to actually learn the material. Chegg is your best friend. 8 Labs, 4 Tests, 20 Homeworks, 1 Midterm, 1 Final. As long as you do everything it isn't hard to pass.

BEWARE! Taking physics online and in a minimester is a tough gig, but this guy takes it to a whole new level. I managed to get a B in the course, but that was working 8-10 EVERYDAY of the winter break. The test was no indication of what we learned. The midterm and final are SUPER tough, but do everything else and you should be able to pass.

Pretty much teaching yourself the material good luck. Had him back in Spring and learn statics pretty much all by myself. He had solutions to the quizzes and homeworks but that is it.

This professor was very informative and extremely helpful with the many reviews available to the students. The only advise I have to a upcoming student is to practice the textbook problems because they are more relevant to his exams then his very own reviews.

Good Professor, difficult subject. Funny in class. Handwriting can be hard to decipher at times. Always available to help. Drops worst Lab Grade. Textbook was basically useless for this class though. He has a set of YouTube videos that were much more helpful.

Prof Doney is passionate for physics and wants his students to give a 100% effort. Physics is demanding and it requires many hours of work outside of class. In order to succeed students must ask questions and attend review sessions. Prof Doney also makes an impressive outdoor hockey rink! Overall, he is a great professor. Flyers fans beware...

His handwriting is sickening. Very strict professor, if you're late once then you're hated. He likes to crack a lot of boring jokes. He is unenthusiastic. His HW and lectures have very little to do with his tests. Labs have absolutely nothing to do with the tests. Grading is hard. The book is useless, as he makes up his own formulas.

He will give you every opportunity to excel and learn.. Hes Enthusiastic, ready to teach and always shows respect toward everyone. He creates a positiveeasy-going atmosphere in class. I can tell he enjoys teaching and wants to see students succeed! This made me work even harder. Teachers like him come around once in a lifetime..

Chicken scratch handwriting, rough quick lectures, very strict professor - locks the door after class starts and ignores knocking. If you don't understand any of the material, you're pretty much screwed because he only gives hints as to what to do.

Pro Doney is a very nice guy and funny, but he is not a orannized professor, all the problems he teaches in class not really related to the test, even though the practice problems he gives the students not realated to what I studied. I don't reconmend him to my friends because of dis orangnized

This guy has no structure at all to his lectures. He is all over the place. He does not prepare the students for the problems you will find on his exams. He does not follow the book at all with his lectures or test questions so don't even bother to buy it. Even with all this I think he is a nice guy but not a good professor.

Physics on the web is not easy to begin with but Doney is allright. He gives you ample chance to do well. And a bonus is at the end of the class he drops the worst lab. You have to be sharp on your math though. That is a big component of doing the homework.

Prof Doney is definitely easigoing -- precisely the correct term. Wants you to learn, very willing to help, gives great advice as an advisor. Horrified to see below poster's small-minded, ignorant, and childish comment -- probably cheated pretty blatantly, which the Prof does NOT tolerate.

Doney - is a great teacher. He made himself very available to help in any way. He kept it interesting and was patient when you didn't understand. Course is a little hard and tests were too but he did offer extra credit points.
