I think he is a genius. He's a really helpful professor, i didn't understand anything coming into the class...I am not sure i understand everything coming out but that's not his fault. He's tough but so helpful and so dedicated. I had fun going to class, i just really sucked at the course content since i know nothing about music and got tossed in

This was a brilliant pilot class centered on the concept of computational thinking--could easily be a blah topic, but what an inspiring and awesome teacher! Very challenging course, and he doesn't just hand out As, but he will do everything in his power to help--I still try to keep up with him because he's such an awesome person

The journals and the website assignment are a lot of work, but he grades fairly and presents interesting topics about which to think each class period. Totally different from any other music history course.

Dr. K's class is the most engaging class I have taken at Towson. I hated contemporary music coming into the semester, and went out liking it more than expected. He really makes you think and you discover things you never thought you would in his class.

I went into this class with little information on the course content, but was immediately impressed with Dr. Kleinsasser's eagerness and wealth of knowledge that he is more than willing to share. He requires a lot of work from you, but in the end, there is an immense feeling of satisfaction. Not only that, but he's an incredibly handsome man =D

Very good teacher, Always interested in teaching the students as much as he can. You will learn so much from this guy. He always is willing to joke around and talk about anything. He also works you a lot too. He knows a lot about music and programing midi. Lots of work, but I would take this class again in a heart beat! Also loves mac computers :)

Comment:

Dr. Kleinsasser is the best. This class was totally inspiring, forces you to re-examine how you think about music, and is also a ton of work. However, Dr. Kleinsasser works probable 10 times harder than any student to keep the class interesting. The best lecture class I've taken.

This is no ordinary music class. Most of class time is spent discussing philosophy of life instead of music. Start on your journals early and write about one of the craziest topics you can think of and you should do great.
