The best economics professor on this campus. He's not easy (but none of the econ professors here are), but he's around 24/7 and willing to help. He grades tough and gives weekly homework, but i had him for different micro classes and did well in each class. He's retiring so now, unfortunately, we're stuck with Sirianni.

Econ 111 was my first business class and taking with O'Dea really enhanced my liking for economics. He is really easy to understand and uses real life examples and applies them to everything he teaches. I definitely recommend taking a course with him.

Hard class already, and he makes it harder with his grading. Study at least a week in advance, especially if you aren't good in micro. His exams and homeworks are straight from the notes though. He wants things PERFECT. Don't buy the textbook. Show up to class, he takes attendance. I didn't study as hard as I should, I could have done better.

Hardest class I have ever taken. He gives great lectures and makes a point to know everyones name and jokes around. The homework is very challenging. They take hours to do and even then you are bound to get an average grade. His tests are frighting too. His grading is way too picky. Most studying I have ever put into a class and still barley passed

O'Dea is the best professor for 211. He's not going to pull any surprises on you with exams and all his exams and homeworks are based on the notes (the homeworks will be the opposite of what we done in class and so kinda easy). TOUGH grader. It's a nuisance, but he wants things perfect. He's available around the clock so visit him if you need too.

Econ 211 is very hard. O'Dea is a tough grader. However, he is very knowledgeable and teaches the material clearly and is easy to understand. I was about to drop the class but stuck with it and things eventually gel together. Your notes are the key to answering all the HW's and his tests are based on the HW's. He is a funny guy as well! Go for it!

You need to go to class to pass. Reading the textbook is a must and you need to do all of your online assignments. The class has a lot of work but if you put in the time you can easily do well. There are also extra credit opportunities. Lecture is easy to follow and he is fun to listen to.

He isn't too bad. Takes attendance despite 75 students in the class. Write down all his notes and examples. Aplia homework is every week and it's annoying since its barely what we covered in class. Gives a review list sorta. study like a few days before the exam. Gives up to 6 extra points towards your final grade. Dont spend $200 on the textbook

There is a homework due every week, they are literally the opposite from the notes he gives in class. WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING, DONT MISS CLASS. His tests are based on the homeworks, doesn't do extra credit, but he is SO helpful in study hours, he really cares about you understanding. The book isn't necessary. Tough grader. Write down word for word!

Economics is a hard course, doesn't really matter who you take it with. O'Dea is the more clearer professor, he gives homework almost weekly. Grades hw and exams hard so you have to make sure you get definitions (word for word as his or he WILL take off points). He is willing to help and his notes are very clear.

O'Dea is a great teacher and a funny guy, he actually taught me more in micro then any other teacher in Oneonta combined. (I have not taken siriani) He is a tough grader as in if your definitions, interpretations, and graphs are not identical to his there will be points taken off. (such as consumer to comnsumers) Tough class. Be ready to study.

Greatest teacher I've ever had, hands down! He explains concepts very well by using relateable examples. His tests are very fair. His clarity breaks this 1-5 scale! You won't have a problem understanding micro if you take it with him! I'm not the brightest student and i got an A in his class.

Extremely hard class - be prepared to do work. He has a larger homework due every week and 2-3 tests. However, this man knows his stuff. For the first time in 3 years I actually began to understand the concept behind MicroEcon.

Honestly.. i'm not sure why everyone is giving him such a good rating. I thought this class was very difficult and i went to every class and did every homework and paid attention.I don't think he explains concepts very clearly, he's also kind of sarcastic in an awkward way at times.Avoid him if you can but if you can't.. hopefully your good at Econ

His notes are very easy to understand and does a lot of examples in class. The homework does take some time but if you use the textbook it will not be too difficult. Overall he is very easy to understand. As long as you go to class and do the Aplia you will do great in the course.

Must go to class to do well. HW is difficult so don't make my mistake and wait till the night of. Tests are essentially the same questions as the HW with different numbers. Aplia is very short and easy compared to all other econ courses. Overall the course was hard but O' Dea is the clearest and best econ teacher at oneonta

O'Dea is a good guy He relates the material you learn in class to stuff you can actually understand and explains it very well. Homework is kinda rough but you'll be happy you did when you take the testsThere are only 3 tests and you need to study. Gives 2 chances for extra credit that can add points to test scores if you do it. Overall a good dude
