Absolutely hellish class. Exams were brutally hard. No multiple choice questions; everything is short answer. I spent the whole semester utterly lost. To give you an idea of how hard this class was, I have made an A in every course I've taken over the last two semesters, except for a C in Wellnitz's Biology 1101 (1101!) class. Awful experience.

He's nice but, nice doesn't teach me the material. He is very scatter- brained and unclear. Never gave directions that were clear enough to make an A. Graded unfairly and inconsistently. I've seen him give someone who had the SAME answers as me a lower grade. Overall, the class is useless. It's basically general things everyone should already know

He is not my cup of tea i most certainly won't take him again. The way he grades is confusing, he will mark points off and assignment and not tell you why. His lectures are boring, he just rambles and he constantly gives us group assignments. I don't agree with that because I don't always have time to meet up with groups on the weekends.

The lectures were kind of boring and sometimes he speaks too quietly. He was pretty lenient with his grading. He gave too many projects though, especially at the end of the semester. Most of the projects felt like busy work more than anything else and they were too in depth.

He is very entertaining with his science wit!!!LOL But he is a good teacher and you can learn alot, don't expect the textbook to save you and prepare for the wednesday quizzes who has on your notes. His test are vary hard but i liked the challenge. He's not boring and always be present in lab, but he's a really great teacher.

You have to study for this class but he is the best teacher I have met at ASU thus far. I absolutly love this man and would take him again. Highly recommend him. Study everything he tells you and you will do fine.

Well if you want the cliffnotes version. He didn't use the text until the final. I got a B but had an A going into final. He made mistakes on grading labs. Tests were all mixed up each one was very different. Overall I was unhappy and disappointed. He was a wizard at making it simple but put little effort test making.

Summer micro-never cracked a book and got A's. Genetics is somewhat disorganized and really didn't teach the info, only way to pass his class is get old tests (which are always floating around) and just copy answers onto tests bc they are all open note and he uses the same questions every year. Hardly did any labs ever, but lab practical was crazy.

Very humorous, and makes biology a bit easier. Knows his stuff and will help you out. Tests aren't bad. Don't bother buying the book! All of his tests come from lecture only! He turns complicated material into simple formats so you can understand. Take him!

He is too easy. I came here for an education, not just a grade. He is the one biology professor here who doesn't give us our money's worth. More detail should be covered. You can get an A with your eyes closed compared to other teachers. This is why people like him but it's NOT a good thing
