Comment:
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR FOR AN ONLINE CLASS. He is blatantly known to despise teaching online and is of the beleif that online courses should be harder by design. Course counselors at UALR openly advise students against taking him. If you take an online course he will screw your GPA just to discourage online students.

Linear Algebra is a hard course, and definitely harder online. I would recommend taking Dr. Wang in person. Overall, he was a great guy and very responsive. He posts notes, and videos of the material. Although he is a bit hard to follow and understand. I used Kahn Academy. Would take in person, heard good things from friends.

Dr. Wang is an excellent professor. He genuinely cares about his students and will go out of his way to help them. If he notices you putting in extraordinary effort he will give you bonus points. I went to the math lab every day to do my homework and Dr. Wang would give me a bonus points when he saw me in there working. Dr. Wang is the best!

I took his summer calculus 2 class. Overall, it can be difficult to understand him at times and he has a hard time explaining things in a coherent way. I would recommend watching youtube videos to help you since it was hard for me to follow him. Gives ton of extra credit and the tests are very similar to the review. If you want pass take him.

His lectures can be very confusing, he knows what he's talking about but assumes you understand and doesn't specify what he thinks everyone knows to be true. Ask questions but be ready to study a lot outside of class. Allows a lot of bonus problems and gives a take-home part of the test but it's not enough.

Overall he is a nice person but is hard to follow in class due to his heavy accent and no logical pattern when writing on the board, he is all over the place and constantly erases/changes things making it hard to keep up. He does give study sheets for exams and extra credit is offered for all assignments.

3 test a semester. about 15 multiple choice, 3 short answers, and 3 or 4 bonus on every test. He does have a heavy accent. He cares more about the concept behind the math, does not ask for you to show work on multiple choice. Always gives a study guide before test and reviews with you. He cares for his students. Perfect attendance 6 bonus points.

Dr. Wang was held one of the best online math courses I've taken. He was responsive to questions, had lecture and homework material posted. A little slow to return solutions to quizzes sometimes; but you always got them in time to study. Preparing for exams was easy and straight-forward.

Differential Equations: Attendance required for points. HW done in groups. Gives reviews. Not hard if come to class and do the work. Those that complain n blame teacher are the lazy people who don't come to class, do their hw, and try.

Hard to understand, doesn't follow examples through, doesn't care about your understanding... at least this semester he tried to be personable by introducing himself the first day. Easiest tests ever - multiple choice with chances for bonus points. **** final is straight off of old tests****
