Honestly a good teacher, you just really have to pay attention to what she is saying since most of what she says can be easily missed. The material itself if fairly difficult, but she'll break it down for you if you just ask. She doesn't teach from the book at all, but the material in the book can help supplement lectures. Take really good notes!

There are 6 HW's, lowest one is dropped. She gives you credit just for doing it, not for right or wrong answers. The exams are pretty similar to the HW and the examples she gives during class, so you don't want to miss class! The final is not cumulative. Pretty easy class, won't have you stressed as long as you do the work.

Test #1: 72%; Test#2: 52%; Test#3(Final); 36% and still got a C. There is a curve. Attended the first 3 weeks of class but then stopped going. She has a very soft voice so that makes it hard to understand. 6 HW with the lowest being dropped. She does not grade HW if the answers are correct. Answers are online as a PDF.

You will have to teach yourself everything, especially the operations and calculations. She is VERY hard to understand because of her accent. She is really sweet, but cant seem to tame the class. The slides have a lot of information to look over for the test and the study guides help a lot, going to class is pointless but she grades attendance

She is hard to understand and very quiet. Material is difficult but learnable. Her teaching methods make the class very boring and dry. There are 6 homework assignments worth 10% of your grade but she drops the lowest grade and 3 50 question tests that are worth 90% of your total grade.

Not the best professor. I barely passed this class. She knows that she speaks softly so she uses a mic in class but her accent is VERY heavy. I went to her office hours and even with the one-on-one help, it was distracting and I still had many questions left in my head. I found the book to be useful and I read A LOT. Get read to study on your own

where do i start.... heavy accent and quiet voice almost IMPOSSIBLE to understand, expects you to know all the formulas on your own, lectures are nearly pointless because there is no good explanation of anything. EXTREMELY frustrating class. she often was corrected by students. econ is a useful subject but i did not learn anything!!!

Material she is teaching is not that hard, her poor communication skills make the class unbearably boring. I prefer to have step by step answers to HW's, and study guides, so I can teach myself the material. With Liu, you have to sit through her lectures and listen to her butcher the English language in order learn anything.

She's one of the best professors you'd take in the department. Easy to understand, approachable, knowledgable of the material, and easy hw. Ofc, she'll bug the class to answer her questions, but she's not yelling at you for feedback. Once she'll know what you know, she'll clarify. Cut, clear grading. Easy content, no.

Very slow class, spending forever to do simple problems and whole class periods going over just homework. So its chill. To pass the class literally REDO EVERY CLASS EXAMPLE AND HOMEWORK PROBLEM CORRECTLY BY YOURSELF AT LEAST 3 TIMES. You will do well on exams. HW is graded on effort.

Class is very slow at times and lectures are not clearly structured. I liked the amount of example problems done in class but often times she would give us way too much time to do a simple problem and so there was a lot of down time. Multiple classes were wasted because we only would go over homework ?'s and test answers and then leave.

She has a very heavy accent and speaks very softly. In the beginning of the semester she would explain things on the board but then she switched to power point and it became extremely difficult to learn. The book is useless and doesn't show how to do any of the problems. She grades on the curve and gives 3 tests, 6 HW's, and drops the lowest HW.

Nice lady, her accent is dense, distracting when trying to learn. The textbook was horrible, provides no clear examples of how to solve problems, nor does it have answers to HW. The way things were explained was bizarre to say the least, I'm more used to using calculus to solve problems, not just drawing random lines on the graph.

All these reviews are useless! Learn and trust me on this: I discovered a cheat sheet for her exams. I googled up the question from the study guides. STUDY from this site called Scribd & look up Brooke Mitchelle! Her practice exams are exact but not all of the questions will be on the tests! Just same format & different wording but very similar. 6 hw assignments, 3 tests. hw assignment are credit-no credit, and she reviews the hw in class the day it's due. entire class is based on a curve at the end of the semester. tests are not cumulative, all multiple choice. no i-clicker questions! lectures are clear but fast-paced, but she will help you if you ask for it (office hrs or after class)

Professor Liu is arguably one of the best professors in the econ department. The material she covered wasn't easy, and additional study outside of class is the only way you could be successful in Micro. That said, she'll give you every chance to pass her class, and that's a fair deal compared to other professors in the econ department. 6 HWs 3 Exam

Easiest econ class ever! No clicker questions, attendance isn't mandatory but highly recommended. She gives 5 homework assignments that are super easy (creditno credit) and has almost identical study guides for each test. Lectures are clear and helpful. And she curves grades!!!!

There is no cheat sheet for this class. The class is tough and the best way to pass this exam is to do the homework many many times until you understand it and take a look at the notes because there will be somethings she does in class that will be on the exam, but is not on the homework.
