I have taken many classes from Yuji and have gotten A's in all of them. He's an amazing professor and gives good feedback. He likes to go off on his own tangents about various things during class and can get kind of sidetracked which makes the critiques longer. He likes you to get involved with art activities, but it's not mandatory unless. Easy A.

He's got a lot of experience but has a very different approach to teaching. Be ready to jump in head first. Very funny quirky guy. Critiques are long but you always get direct feedback on your work. Looking forward to taking more classes from him.

Great class. Great guy, funny, and knowledgeable. Don't take this class if you're looking for an easy grade, or if you have a packed schedule, it consumes your life. If you do have a lot of time on your hands I highry lecommend it.

Yuji is very friendly, down to earth, and a very well respected exhibiting artist. Printmaking is his life, so he is dedicated to teaching the art. He cares a great deal, but only if the students themselves care; if you are just taking the class for credit, and it shows, then he probably won't devote much time or effort to your improvement

Yuji is totally awesome!! Like many have said he is tough, but it is all well worth it. He is perhaps the best professor in the department. His own work is wonderfully spectacular.

Yuji was completely awesome. He really brought out creative desire and ambition in his students รข€" more than most Art instructors at OSU. Not only is he a fabulous artist, but he is an extremely informed instructor, and an absolutely hilarious person with a phenomenal memory and personal touch. Yuji rocks.

I took 9 classes from Yuji in 7 terms. He challenged me and was also a friend. He's an advocate for printmaking and encourages students to develop their own artistic voice/imagery. His own work is magnificent. Bonus: He's absolutely hilarious.

One of the best profs I've ever had. Makes you work very hard but if you try really hard you can learn so much. Ask lots of questions he's always willing to share the info he knows.
