I took Dr. Smith for ASL 1 and I loved it! ASL is a language so of course it is going to be hard for you to learn it but she made it fun. She keeps you awake and entertained. She is not a hard grader but she does take her teaching serious. If you ask, she will explain. TAKE HER !!

Dr. Smith is a really good teacher, i had her for ASL 1 & will be taking her again for ASL 2 next semester and i dont even need the class! Shes VERY funny & always tries to tell a story to help you remember signs. Make sure you PRACTICE. She gives alot of easy grades online. Her tests are VERY easy just make sure you study your voc & the power poin

She is one of those kind of Teachers that honestly cares for you! if you do your work for any of her classes she will know who you are. She is a funny person and a very enjoyable person to have a class with! I RECOMMEND you taking her if possible. If you are going to take any ASL classes you better take my word for it....Pratice, pratice, Practice!

Awsome professor. I had her for ASL 2, ASL 3 and for Deaf Studies. She teaches at the pace of the slowest student, so it's really easy to get a good grade, and she's just so damn nice.
