Hes humorous & nice but his problems in class only apply to like one question on the test. He mostly makes you answer concept questions instead of really applying to the problems that will be in the test. The tests only have like 4 questions so if you miss 2 you basically already failed which makes it really hard to catch up with your grades.

Really makes you work for your grade. When it comes down to it though if you take good notes and pay attention and show up you will pass. Ajay goes over labs and homework in class and helps you work through the problems. Its really important to show work symbolically on tests/homework. Tough grader, but once you get it, you get it.

He's an extremely hard teacher, with unrealistic expectations for his students. We were behind in the class and he cramped all the last chapters into one week, awful experience. He doesn't give any study guides for the tests, he's a nice guy but I will never take a class with him again. He offers absolutely ZERO extra credit.

Lecture and textbook reading doesnt even help you on the midterm or final. Take another Astro prof if you can.

I love this guy! Kind of a weird word to describe a professor, but he is very silly. The class had a lot of laughs haha. Tests are easy, pop quizzes are easy, etc. But what do you expect from a 101 class anyway. You will get 100/100 on the quizzes simply by answering the questions. Hm.. overall, awesome!

Hes a very great person! His teaching style was a bit difficult to keep up because he make you learn a lot on your own on subjects barely covered in class. Hes a funny person. LOTS of tests! Very hard grader, will take off points if not very specific. Barely passed this class, Probably wouldnt recommend taking it unless youre good at physics.

He is a great physics teacher! Organized, understandable lectures, cares about students learning. Be a good student and you will go good in his class. You do have to work to get high grade, but that is always true for any classes. Love this guy!

Ajay has a way of teaching physics that makes you interested. He focuses heavily on concepts, not just calculations. The course was well streamlined and I never once felt overburdened with any of the assignments. Only downside was at times, he was slow to grade which was understandable (and most assignments were easy to earn full credit on)

Ajay is a very kind professor, but inaccessible outside the class, always have some corrections to do after the exams are distributed on the exam day which adds up to the stress! he as a lot of extra stuff to do other than teaching which clearly affecting his job.

Fantastic class! He was helpful and you could tell he was passionate about the subject. Due to personal reasons I missed a week or two, but Ajay was very helpful when it came to missed work and gave me partial credit, if not full, for what was missed. His focus is on understanding concepts, not memorization, so I came out having learned a lot.

He is a nice guy, and he does care students understand his class or not. However his lecture makes me feel so badly. I can not understand what he is teaching... Every exam I need to read books by my own... he also grades tough, if you did a little mistake, he will drop a lot of points... I don't recommend his class unless you are GOOD at physics.

Dr. Ajay is by far my favorite professor. He has a good sense of humor and he is very easy-going. His lectures and explanations are really clear and helpful. He is also the advisor of the physics club and he would drive us to places to participate in science-related events. I would recommend everyone to take his physics 200 series.

Ajay is a great Physics teacher. He cares a lot about whether you understand the materials or not. He's also very funny. He has pop-quizzes all the time. His tests are relatively hard, but if you understand the lectures and homework, it should be okay.

Ajay is freaking adorable. He is very real with his students and you can tell he cares very much about the school as a whole. His lectures are very well prepared and his demos are extremely helpful. The tests can be tough, but if you have kept up to date with the lessons and homework, there is no reason you shouldn't do well.

Ajay is a really nice guy it seems but I could not stand him as a teacher. It seemed like he did not really care about teaching this class. He is very vague about the tests and does very little to prepare you for them. His lectures are long and boring. I really love astronomy but he butchered it for me. Maybe his other classes are better...

Narayanan is one of the best instructors ive ever had. He is very enthusiastic about physics and has a lot of information to offer. If you plan on majoring in anything science related, he will go far out of his way to advise you and help you figure out what courses you should be taking and what universities you should look at when you transfer.

He is a great professor. He is really into what he teaches. He is really busy but helps during his office hours but only then. One tip that will make or break your grade is to show ALL your work even if it seems obvious what you did. He is EXTREMELY picky about that and will mark you down severely if you don't. I would recommend him.
