He is really good at what he teaches and doesn't need a textbook/notes for it like the other professors. If you dont take notes while he teaches then you might fail his exams and so will you fail the class because he uses the white board alot while teaching. But he is an awesome teacher.

His class is really hard but it's worth it to not have Dr. Waltzer. Dr. Chesnut loves what he does and does it well. Don't take Biology from anyone else.

Everyone says Dr. Chestnut is very difficult. I'd say don't take his class unless you are really into Biology or you will get lost. I took Advanced Anatomy in high school so I got though ok. He expects you to remember LOTS of material.

Dr. Chestnut is a brilliant Christian, and his love of God is evident in his life. His class is one of the hardest I've taken, but because of this I learned a great amount, and wouldn't take any other teacher than him for Biology.

Dr. Chestnut is SO amazing. He has made me love biology. He gives it as much of a practical side as he can, and does an incredible job relating it to Scriptures and God's incredible design. Inspiring!
