he is a terrible teacher. like everyone says he talks about himself in class. the problem is he gets worse every year. now he doesn't teach at all, just talks about himself the entire time. The book will not save you either, his tests are too long to take in the time alloted. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! believe me, it will only end in anger/tears!

Dr. Gart is a very smart and friendly older guy. He talks a lot about his past experience as a banker in New York and certainly knows a lot about banking. If this is interesting or boring depends on you. He is very helpful, exams are very fair. Sometimes he appears to be a little bit confused and honestly I would suggest him to retire soon.

Terrible teacher... 90% of the class is him babbling about his past experiences with famous people and the other 10% you would THINK involves teaching but no, it involves trying to figure out how to log onto a PC not to mention turning on a document camera/projector. His tests are terribly hard considering he doesn't teach at all

Mr Gart is an older guy and sometimes gets distracted with his young memorizes.Half the class u will hear stories about his family. He claims to be a millionaire when he retires and how many big shots he know, invited to party with McCain?idk. Nice older guy but doesnt really teach finance to the core.

Tells stories of the old days in class. Talks about his former cancer, catheter, old age, autistic grandson, banker job 30s of years ago, etc... Tests are literally cut, pasted then copied which makes things hard to understand. Test taken on scantron sheet was improperly HAND-graded resulting in incorrect grades. Collecting a paycheck. That's all.

dr gart is a real nice guy and I enjoyed listening to him tell his stories and to be honest the class isn't that hard. If you really want to understand finance I would take someone else for lower level finance classes then take dr gart in the higher levels

You wont learn anything except that hes wonderful at finance (might be but he cant teach you),he tutored George Bush,he worked at JP Morgan,he can get you a CD at 7% at some chinese bank in NYC,he can get you a job in NYC anywhere you want.How much of that is true?prob none of it.answers his phone in class.YOU LEARN NOTHING!do not take him!!!!!!!!!

All I learned in 310 is how his wife likes salmon and he doesn't and he can't understand how she can eat salmon. That screwed me over for every FIN class above 310, but he is funny to listen to. He spits when he talks, so sit in the back. Pretty outlandish stories, seems like a decent guy.
