Comment:
Lori is quite knowledgeable, and marks fairly. Every class was just reading and discussing slides that were never posted to blackboard. Attendance and participation were 15%, so if you don't show up you're screwed.

This was the most disappointing and low quality class I've taken in 4 years. I was excited about the class and the content, however Lori Williams lectures are not organized. The powerpoints were a formatting disaster, class breakdown was a waste of time with hardly any new content covered. lectures are not clear or well done, shouldn't teach.

Nice person but her class was a nightmare. Her expectations are unclear and her lectures and very hard to follow, to top that off she is a very hard marker. Avoid this class if you can.

Lori's lectures were all over the place and I found her grading criteria to be unclear. She is available for office hours but still really leaves you to figure out the content on your own. Found the whole class extremely stressful.

Comment:
Disorganized and vague. Late to class more often than not. Rambled constantly. She didn't seem to consider the idea that we needed to actually prepare to write our papers. Also, the reading schedule (if it can even be called that) is an utter mess. I just gave up on it eventually. Avoid like the plague

Lori is the devil. Was i taking a policy studies related class or am i in law school? still not sure. The paper that got a C from her would be an A++ from brownsey. If you do not need to take her please just avoid her. She's very disorganized, LOVES to interrupt students, never answers emails, no outlines, and her expectations r way to high, AVOID

Lori is one of the best profs I have ever had at MRU. Her lectures, and notes can be disorganized at times, but she makes up for this elsewhere. If you make the effort to attend class, ask questions, and speak to her outside of class time. She will make every effort to help you out. I have never met a prof who puts in as much work as Lori does.

Lori is very knowledgeable. She makes you think about all perspectives on a matter, not just a woman's or male's or etc. You are graded only on (participation which is a big chunk), midterm, term paper and final. Her Questions Pool is the main thing that helped everyone in the class get solid to good marks on both the midterm and final. She's nice.

Lori is very intelligent and well spoken. However her classes are very hard and the power-points don't make any sense if you didn't attend the class. Very high expectations for the term paper as well as the exams. She is definitely a hit and miss prof but get ready to put in 100% effort for a fair mark.

One of the worst professors I have had at Mount Royal. She dismisses ideas that do not align with her own, and will interrupt students who have a different point of view. Her midterm is two essays in 80 minutes, and the final is very similar. Lectures are very disorganised. Would only recommend if you enjoy leaving class frustrated and annoyed.

Lori is a great person and opened my eyes to a lot of self-reflective concepts. She's unorganized, usually late, doesn't respond to emails, has no clear expectations, forgot to post midterm slides, and cancelled office hours a day before the midterm. Not your typical prof/classroom experience but she really speaks to me.

Lori is pretty unclear about what she wants unless you prod her about it. She's also pretty disorganized, and does not release her rubrics for assignments until 2 or so weeks before they are due, which is actually just infuriating. (Just put everything on the course outline!!) Saying that, she's incredibly warm and understanding.

I would not recommend taking this professor. I would recommend to take her If: 1) you don't mind having an unclear study guide for the final exam 2) you don't mind if lectures don't make sense 3) you also don't mind getting your marks back late . You've been warned.

Lori Williams is hands down the worst professor I've ever had. She provides no outlines for anything, her slides are usually taken from other classes and make literally zero sense, this woman is not a professor, nor does she belong in a teaching capacity at a university. Save yourself, pick a different prof.

I would not recommend taking this course. The most recent ratings on here are accurate. For her essay criteria it is 2 pages long on what she expects, and most of it is jargon. She was not clear with her expectations for the final essay, and therefore it was difficult to write.

Disorganized, no clear outline for anything, two hours for two essays for the midterm impossible, not helpful when with the term paper, always late to class, takes years to answer to emails, and sometimes even rude.

Late at least 5 minutes for every class. High expectations on assignments and moot, especially if your role is as a lawyer. No outline or marking criteria for any assignments or testsexams except for the minimal information in the course outline. Do not expect to know over 30% of your graded total until the end of the semester. GOOD LUCK
