Really great guy. His explanations are crystal clear, and will often go off topic just because some other math topic is interesting. Ask him about the 14 (I think) statements that he proved were all equivalent to one another

So far Prof Taylor is my favorite here at Union. Very accessible outside of class(even hosts optional review classes on weekends before monday exams). Incredibly caring and willing to take the time to work with you. You can ask any question without him making you feel bad about asking it and the man truly knows his stuff. Would take his class again

I did NOT do well in math in high school, but Professor Taylor really helped me understand math way more than any other high school teacher. Homework was never handed in for credit (but you should do it for practice). Every test and quiz had a review sheet, and every test was curved so everyone would get a higher grade. He sometimes cracks jokes

Professor Taylor is the man. I used to be mathphobic, but due to his inspirational Calc 1 & 2 classes I'm now majoring in Math and aiming to teach it myself - hopefully as well as he teaches. Easily the best professor I've ever had. It's obvious that he has a lot of passion for his field and truly cares about the success of his students.

Prof. Alan is the best professor I met at Union so far. Very clear and helpful. Even have office hours during the weekends. Pationate about his teaching and very inspirational. 199 was not easy but you will get good results if you work hard.

Amazing Prof. Gives solid feedback like where u messed up. announced quizzes every wednesday with a complete outline that he hands out about what he will quiz u on. office hours are awesome. dude is so chill and easy to talk to. Really respected by students. if you show up to class u are guaranteed to get a least an A-

He is one of the best professors I have had. Math199 is extremely difficult so I still did poorly in the class, but he had excessive office hours, weekly review sessions, etc. Very approachable and tried to keep things interesting in class. Kept my attention. Very passionate. I would say beware the class but definitely not the professor.

The best professor I've had so far at Union. The class is very hard and you need to put in the effort to succeed, but the professor is extremely helpful in office hours and gladly accepts phone calls at home. Extremely nice guy who really cares about his students. Very enthusiastic in class. Take any class you can with him.
